I have some doubts about stamps or craftool
Frodo replied to D2G's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
D2G, I suggest that if you want to buy quality tools to find a company close to your location that will make to order what you require. I myself, am tired of the cheap alloy stamps and am having stamps made from steel machined for me one at a time as i can afford D2G, te sugiero que si quieres comprar herramientas de calidad para encontrar una empresa cercana a tu ubicación que hará pedir lo que necesites. Yo mismo, estoy cansado de los sellos de aleación barata y estoy teniendo sellos hechos de acero mecanizado para mí uno a la vez como puedo permitirme -

Ok...Before I start on my little mini rant,, This is MY fault for not using the correct tool I am sitting here marking lines on a piece of leather while stamping it with a basket weave pattern. Happy as a bumble bee in spring time. I am using an old wore out ink pen, because i like the feel of the pen and the line it gives. I have been using this pen for over a month SO>>.I pick up my pin and draw a line along the straight edge. DAMN..The pen started writing !!!! Right down the middle of my leather Any dumbaZZ mistakes you want to tell on yourself. ????

LOL.....Yes I brought this up...A couple guys want holsters. And YES, I am into reloading and shoot almost every day. I shoot long range plinking at crap 50 feet away just does not interest me. A golf ball 100 yards away is more my style. Do not be concerned about being confused, I live in a state of confusion,

I I never really been interested in pistols. Now, If you Want to talk long guns. you have my full attention. LOL I think the Swedish Mauser's M94 M96 M98 are the most accurate, flat shooting guns made

Seems the airsoft is the same size as the long slide only difference is the length. and that looks like it can be shortened NOT bad...a $6.50 template verses a $50.00 template
-
I am to cheap/ miserly/ Broke to fork out $50.00 or $60.00 for a plastic template

Frodo replied to Frodo's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items

Picked up a brand new pair of cargo pants at a garage sale for 3 dollars. I brought them home and cut the pockets off of them, and made a bag This measures 12'' tall 9'' wide 2'' deep with outter pockets on the front [1] 7'' x 9''' and [2] 4'' x 4''' on the back side [1] 8'' x 7'' and 8'' x 4'' after joining the 2 sides, i stitched in a small veg tan strap with d rings strap to come later the small straps are stitched using a 9 strand cotton string that has been waxed, the phone company uses it to pull wire so far. i have a total of 3 dollars invested in this bag

By using the Websters dictionary definition, I can only conclude that if you use a sewing machine in the leather process then your work is handcrafted not hand made If you hand stitch then your work is handcrafted and/or handmade BTW...did you get an elk? Back strap steaks? jerkey? sausage?
