The Government of Commiefornia has no right to ban the sale of any damn thing. It is up to an individual to make the decision on what to buy, not the government edited +what about the Indian tribes? not allowed to make deer skin moccasins? does this mean if you kill an elk for food. you have to let the hide rot away wastefully?

Went into the local monument store in the near by town. The lady was busy, but took the time to ask if she could be of help. I stated I saw a small piece of granite by the dumpster. and asked if I could have it She said yes. Small is such a subjective word. what is small to me may or may not be small to you.

I bought a nice teflon/plastic hammer to strike my tools with. I do not care for the bounce so I grabbed a blade pin off of the D8 dozer. LOL wrapped it in leather. it weighs a pound or more. it is my weight to hold items still it is an anvil it does not bounce

hand made is something mad by hand, granted that sweat shops use sewing machines to turn out stuff but the difference is, They are turning out production and not one of a kind items So, In MY opinion, which if you add a dollar you can buy a cup of coffee,,hand made means an item that is not turned out in production form but made one at a time by a craftsman, not an hourly production employee

thanks fred, press and move is also working on the '3'' round stamp
-
it is brass,, i press it 3 times no heat i set it on a 4'' x 4;'' piece of metal. press the center, raise the press, slide the metal over press it then slide it to the other side press it as long as you do not move the stamp from the leather. you can move it anywhere and a 24'' cheater bar on the handle
-
it finally showed up / cell phone case 3 1/2'' x 1 1/2'' pressed with a 1 ton small press

I pondered this idea for a few days, then came up with an idea I took a piece of copper pipe and beat it flat, then annealed it Then I beat it into the shape i wanted then i drilled a couple of holes, wrapped it in leather added a strap to hold the watch...I have to stop here. I need a longer snap here is the finished watch band less the longer snap

I am working on the same problem as you at this moment. The last bag I worked on i stiffened it up with a thin strip of metal,,that bends with the bag and ''springs'' back into place I am incorporating it into the 4 side corners and the opening...

maybe i did not ask this question correctly . I do not know the correct name of the corner I am making. it is 2 pieces of leather placed finished side to finished side sewn together then turned inside out to reveal a folded seam with out stitches showing. what i want to do, is add a thin strip of metal or rubber tubing, in that seam, to help stiffen the corner i know what i want to do, i do not know how to incorporate the stiffener into the seam and am seeking suggestions from those that may have the knowledge i am lacking below is the seam and the seam with the stiffener held together by hand
