  6. Theree are no real 50 watt co2 laser tube, whats being sold as a 50 is really a 40 watt tube pushed at start up to 50, tube is over driven and will not last. get a 60 watt tube, make sure of the length and Dia of tube is 55 x 1200mm = 60 watt tube.anything less is not a real 60 watt. 40W Laser Tube Length=1010mm, Diameter=51mm
  7. If you want to do some reading about the Glowforge from professional laser people go here and start reading theres over 100 pages of input most of it negative about the glowforge. These people know more about lasers then you or I will ever know https://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?238771-Glowforge-release/page118
  8. I'll scream again DON"T BUY A GLOWFORGE !! You can import a decent Chinese CO2 laser 60 watts 14 x 24 bed with pass thru front to back and a z axis for under 4K most likely under 3 K OK Last question I saw was soot in the holes. Few things to do here that fix this problem. What I do is use the lowest power that gets a good clean cut and I make the holes smaller then the finished hole ,I then take my dremel with the right hole size bit and drill out the holes. Yea takes time but I find it worth the effort. Another trick is if you hand stitch is to pull and extra foot of thread thru the needle, so your pulling 2 threads thru the hole for a foot or so, this will clean out most of the soot before it gets to the good thread.
  9. Like I said its impossible for the snap to come in contact with the cards
  10. The snap is nowhere near the cards, there's a layer of leather between the cards and the snap.
  11. forgot the pics LOL
  12. One is Veg Tan one is Oil Tan. The oil Tan is very soft and lightweight The veg Tan well hey its Veg Tan. Both need a little more edge work , but it was sunny out and the clouds were rolling in so I snapped them. They hold 4 to 5 Credit Cards a Drivers License and 4 or 5 bills. Great for a night out.

  16. theres a lot off conflicting opinions about weather the 99 can sew leather. I bought mine before seeing all the negatives and now I'm stuck with it. But after watching a few videos and this one I'm thinkin maybe I'll be ok. Might have to do a few upgrades but will see. If not I can always sell it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T25IsGvlmYw
  17. Not sure I made a loop holster out of 7 to 8 oz and I was able to fold it around and get it thru two loops. wasn't to hard. I know your situation is different but hey it might work. Whats plan B?
  18. OK quick question as you can tell I know nothing about sewing so is Bobbin thread different then top thread or can I use the same for both.?
  19. Perfect thank you so much now I can get this stuff and try my machine. It was so confusing looking at all the different sizes.
  20. Singer 99 sewing leather 3 to 4 oz 1 needle 1 thread size bobbin thread
  21. I really hope you buy a GlowForge You say we who don't own one should not talk about them.Did you ever think that we did the research and talked to people that know about lasers and know that they arn't all that great. Of course the people that own them will say their great. Their not going to tell you how slow they are, How they have to wait when they shut down cause they over heated, How you have to pay top dollar to get the materials that have the coding to run the preprogrammed files. How when their internet goes down they can't work anymore, and if the company shuts down they have a paper weight. So please buy the Glowforge, so we can all say TOLD YA SO
  22. anyone have a pic of what its suppose to look like or how to fix it. do you think the machine will sew like this. I hat to try and mess s Awesome thanx, I'll see if I can sew with it. I need to get some thread and bobbin thread first tho. Off to the store tomorrow if I can find a store that sells this stuff
  23. I pressed it several times the spring doesn't move at all I'll take it out later after dinner and see if I can figure how it goes
