  1. I am almost positive you don't need a CCL to carry concealed in TX. If you have never had any classes or training with a firearm, it would be advisable to obtain the training for sure. Another means, especially since you wear jeans might be an ankle holster or pocket holster. Or maybe even a lightweight vest with inside pockets. Those elastic straps do seem like they would make you sweat. During summer months, it would be terrible.
  2. That tri-weave is one of my favorite stamps. I love the incorporation of the symbols. Letters are so hard to carve in leather. Thanks for sharing your work!
  3. Thanks @chuck123wapati @Dwight I really like making them. Very little stitching and a little glue.
  4. Plain Jane shoulder holster in Walnut.
  5. Welcome to the forum from SW Missouri. Lots of great knowledge here.
  6. Beautiful work. The added layer of red really makes the initials pop.

Pretty cool. Love that snap head design.
  8. A leather hand skiver. $20 and up.
  9. Well said. And you are correct. Should probably check into that. Thanks for the comment!
  10. Thanks. Thanks @chuck123wapati
  11. If I never paid taxes to the govt or had 2 kids in the military, I may be more careful. They can't TM the military in my mind. It's for all of us.
  12. Thanks. I hope so! Definitely pop. Thanks. We talked about that, he decided his jelly roll may get in the way.
  13. Thanks!
  14. Thanks. Yep.. A Sergey stamp
  15. Yeah, this one was fun! Like a blank canvas.
  16. I have had numerous requests for military style stamps. Here are some of them I have created. Using 1/4" thick clear acrylic. Works great in an Arbor press or vise. Most of the stamps are 1.5" wide or tall.
  17. I still have flashbacks of those comedic westerns where it takes the guy 4 seconds to pull out his long barreled pistol. This client recently purchased the Taurus TX22 and put a sound suppressor on it. He wanted a holster that would hold both. Tada! As you can see in the pictures, the holster was over 12" long. Had to create a pattern for it from scratch. Thought I would just go ahead and just make a template for the "next" one.
  18. This one was a little tricky, as I didn't have the client's revolver (lives 1000 miles away). I had a Heritage Barkeep that i used for the pattern. The Barkeep has a 2" barrel. So I added an inch to it to create a 3 inch pattern. Finished it up and sent it out. Customer emails saying the holster is way to big. I asked him to measure the barrel. Sure enough, the 3" barrel was 2.5". As in most cases, the customer is always right. So, I started another one from scratch (this time making it 2.5" instead of 3"). The customer was happy with the second one. Didn't make much on this deal, but gained some experience. The pics are of the replacement.
  19. Was conscripted to make a fancy knife sheath and engrave the blade. No limitations other than color and pancake style from the customer.
  20. One of the older (80's) gentlemen from my church asked if I could make him a guitar strap for him that he would pass on to his grandson. He was pleased with it. As you can see in the pics, some of the stamps didn't align perfectly. We're probably the only ones that will see it.
  21. Had a guy come in with a 25 year old wallet needing it replaced with a duplicate. I told him I didn't have any 25 year old wallets for sale, but could make one similar (HAHA). He was pleased with the final result. Wallets are not my favorite thing to make either.
  22. A client approached me saying they bought what appeared to be a quality belt wallet, but when it arrived, it looked nothing like the photo. They asked if I could create one similar using real leather. They were pleased with the design and quality of the piece. They are planning a trip to an area that has high level of pickpockets and theft and wanted something a little different for traveling.
  23. I would probably just call Feibing's and ask them. They would probably have a solution. Good luck. Here is their number. (+1) 800-558-1033 (+(+1) 800-558-10331) 800-558-1033 (+1) 800-558-1033
