  1. Thanks! I just have dark cloth on the one side. Good idea to have it on both.
  2. Where I work my day job, we have some cardboard tubes that are about 7" in diameter and 24-26" in length. I brought some home to help organize my leather a bit. I just duct taped 2 together end to end. I drilled an oversized hole in the top of each tube on the bottom layer and secured them with screws to the bottom deck.
  3. Recently had a client ask for a cross draw holster. Instead of just making it, I also created a template for future use. Anyhoo, if anyone may be interested, here is a link to it. https://pastorbobleather.com/product/cross-draw-j-frame-revolver-2-barrel-holster-template-acrylic/

  5. Well done. It's not easy working from pictures of a 3D object. Congrats!
  6. Yeah, if it were just reduced to photo, posts, and location, it would trim it up nicely. The other stuff struggles with formatting/ line wrapping anyway; making it difficult to navigate easily with the eyes.
  7. I will usually apply the neatsfoot just after it's been cut out. If dyeing, I dye it right after the NFO. If not, then I allow the oil to dry, then put the holster together, then apply sno-seal, or my homemade protectant made of beef tallow and beeswax. Seams to do the trick. This one has a little dye on the tooled portion, but the remainder is natural HO veg tan.

    That is sharp! Very classy!!
  9. Welcome from SW Missouri. Glad you stopped by. Be sure to leave lots of photos of your work. Love seeing new crafters and their zeal for creating.
  10. Sadly, they didn't place any order.
  11. Thanks for the inspiration and gently holding me acountable! I am now officially licensed to sell the USMC related items.
  12. Very nice. I would think with only slight modification, it could service the motorcycle community as well, especially the large Harley / Indian bikes. Connect it to the saddlebag guards.
  13. Thanks! Still not a professional camera operator, but it is fun. The kids encourage me to record what I am doing, even if it may be mundane. Editing video is a full time job. I would rather be creating leather projects.
  14. Nice! Make sure to show us the holster you use to clip it onto your boot.
  15. Glad to hear your other business is taking off! Are all items listed on the invoices included?
  16. @AlZilla I have never seen that style. Where are you sourcing them. Beautiful holster too!!!
  17. Pretty cool stuff. Welcome back! Sorry to hear about blowing up truck after rebuild.
  18. Wow. Impressive.
  19. Nicely done. Beautiful dog as well.
  20. Very cool. Thanks for updating the photos.
  21. No, just the stamp itself. This video captures it pretty well. I don't cut with a swivel knife or bevel. I just use wing dividers to score the lines.
