  1. There is another one I have tried and they are in OK. it's called Tradition's Leather. Much lighter in color and softer feel than HO, but does tool real nice. US sourced I believe. I think they are based in OKC now. I have no affiliation. I normally purchase from Panhandle or SLC.
  2. I have also seen it advertised. Too leery to try it. There seems to be some reviews out there, but all the authors seem to have a very short time on any of the forums where they are posting (like less than 10 posts).
  3. Thanks. Yeah, you're right it does. The two longer pieces actually snap together like a puzzle to make the main body of the sling.
  4. It has been a minute since i have been on the forum. Had a lot of life changing activities that pre-occupied me. I will try to be more present. I love this group of folks that are always so helpful. Hope I can return the favor. Since my last foray here, I have been super busy in the leather world. Now that I have my shop, I am teaching leather classes to both kids and adults. It has been a pure joy. Also have been making some acrylic templates for use to make holsters and rifle slings super efficiently.
  5. Been a while since I have been on...life has been crazy. To date, I have sold one, yes, one item through the site. I have since set up my own website and am selling stuff there. I am also still listing stuff on etsy with moderate success. As far as pricing, I built in the fees into my prices. No real loss, just another revenue stream. Thanks for the feedback.
  6. Thanks! I did not. I actually forget to record most of the time.
  7. Welcome to the forum from SW Missouri, USA. Since the leather is already colored, no dye will be necessary. You will want something on the leather to protect it from the elements. I would use a waterproofing compound of some kind. Beeswax is a perfect solution along with other chemical compounds. I would not use resolene on it...others may weigh in.
  8. Man, I have to try the air brush one of these days. Gorgeous! Thanks for the added details.
  9. Very nice work! Looks great. Was the dye a mixture or a straight dye? What is the color?
