Looking good. You are right. Hard to hide any nicks, fingernail marks for sure.

Sharp and clean work.

A couple of ways to go about it... Try to recall what you paid and price it at that point; knowing you probably paid less at full retail when you bought it than what it's currently selling for. Look up current pricing from vendors that carry the same, and drop the price by some percentage. Percentage depends on how quickly you'd like to move it, whether you add in shipping, packaging, etc.

Getting started, mainly wallets and gunslings (salmon leather inlays)
PastorBob replied to Birchee's topic in Getting Started
Welcome from SW Missouri! I would suggest a good maul or hammer. Maybe get a starter set of stamps for patterns. -
I was just showing the tubes as a way to help organize. I wouldn't put tubes on the door, but maybe some small basket type shelves like this:

I work for a food packaging company. The packaging film comes on the cardboard cores. The best place to find it would be checking with vinyl shops that do banners, or car wraps. They will be happy to let you have the cores.

New pistol, new holster

Beautiful craftsmanship! Well done! Really like the addition of the conchos. -
I repurposed some cardboard tubes from my day job. The ID is 6" and are 2 feet long. I duct taped two of them together to make a 4 foot tube, then utilized the under area of my 4'x8' table where the leather sides were previously stored.

i had one made for belt cutouts on holsters. Very reasonable. http://www.usacuttingdie.com/die-examples.html

Well done. Very clean stitching and tooling. Beautiful!

Is it a swing out door? Do you keep the door closed when you are working in the shop? You could always put a couple of shelves or peg boards on the inside of the door. Or mount some large cardboard tubes vertically on it to store some of your leather.

The first image of the Subaru car coaster is right out of the laser. I wipe it with a damp rag, let it dry, then dye it with a light brown Feibing's Pro Dye. Same process for all the images...except different dye colors. It took a minute to dial it in, but works well on Hermann Oak veg tan. I have tried it on the Live Oak tanned leather from Traditions leather out of OKC, but it doesn't laser well for me.

I use my CO2 laser to make all kinds of acrylic stamps and templates for rifle slings, holsters, guitar straps, and belt templates. I have also done some for folding knife sheaths. Occasionally, i am asked to laser engrave knife handles, holsters, and sheaths which I can do on my CO2 laser. I recently got a Fiber / Diode laser which allows me to engrave metal. So now I have added the ability to laser engrave the blades as well as other metallic items.

I bought a cheap one on Amazon for $10. It works very well. I need to put an edge back on it though.

Man, those look sharp. Did you use Tokonole finish on the outside?

Very sharp. I really like how you designed this to attach with the existing bolts on the windscreen. Nicely done.
