You are off to a great start and welcome to the forum from SW Missouri. Glad you showed us your work. It is fantastic. I am sure your daughter will love the notebook cover. Top notch! I love the pattern on the back as well as the floral design on the front. -

My most favorite projects are creating something specific for that someone special! Even if it is simple, the joy in their eyes when they receive it is priceless. The wallet looks great! Thanks for sharing!!!!

bunches. bovine, horse, goat, pig, and more. And lots of variations of those. Then you also have the faux leather.

Schofield Holsters and Money Belt
PastorBob replied to JWheeler331's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
That is pretty cool. Never seen such! well done!! -
I would go for at least 3/4" - 1" in width. You can double up on the thickness by laminating it. I would also put two handles on it...one lower so you can have him heel. The other allowing him a little freedom.

Schofield Holsters and Money Belt
PastorBob replied to JWheeler331's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
nice looking rig indeed. Is the belt made from a piece of folded leather? I only see one stitch line; on the top. Is this for the money belt portion? Can you post some pics of the inside showing how you did the money belt? -
just recently had a client wanting a gun belt with attached holsters and bandelero loops. He said he found some cheap ones online for $150ish. He said the good ones were $400ish but had a 12-16 week leadtime. I told him he was in luck...I only charged $350 and could have it done in 5-6 weeks. He was pleasantly surprised and gave me his business. Pleased as punch..

I really like the look of that. Looks like a nice, supple leather already broke in. Nice job.

Beautiful! Simple and elegant design. -
I loved the game of baseball, back when it was a game. I stopped watching it in 1989 after the 2nd strike. Lots of great memories from going to the different parks as a kid. This brings them back. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Well captured. Love the bat in one hand and a glove on the other.

Love the dye job and patterning here. Almost looks like snakeskin. Nice Job! Really enjoy stories of folks reaching out to those in need. Definitely an outreach here. Praying for your friend.

I normally just use wool daubers. They are dedicated to a certain color. These I keep in a ziploc baggie with the color of the dye written on the baggie in sharpie. When I use a small brush, I have one of those jars ladies use to remove fingernail polish. I dip the brush in there, then dab it off on a paper towel. Works very well. Something like this...

I have always used natural leather, but they had some drum dyed black veg tan from HO at Springfield Leather. I got some and tried it out on a Buscadero holster. No carving, just stamping. It seemed to work just like normal veg tan. It took a little longer for the water to absorb, but it worked just the same. I only case with water using a sponge.
