Just curious ...... other than being able to say " it's all leather " would something like sanding dust from a sander with a bag work ? -

Still playing around , this is rubber tubing contacted to the leather arrowhead . It has quite a bite on the thong , if the contact holds up this will be how I do them . I know slides are cheap but so am I

Decided that I needed a bolo , not having any hardware this seems to work right now . Holds fine being new and not used much but don't know if it will for any length of time .

I was wearing a tee shirt which wrapped it up , had to cut the bit out of the shirt .

Had a 1/2 x 2 1/2 carbide door panel bit come out of a running router , hit me in the stomach . Got some minor cuts and lost a shirt , wasn't my time as it should have come out my back ....

Sorry for not responding sooner but just now seeing this. The acrylic is the backer , the leather is the frame . They are holding up quite well so far .
