  8. Looks great !!! The dark bottom piece sets the coasters and wrap off , kind of reminds me of some buffalo hide . Well done!
  9. Thank you for the kind words @SUP . I may try a couple out of suede , maybe a different color for the liner than the top side .....good idea thank you.
  10. More women's stuff . I tried this back in July and the test girl says that one is holding up quite well ( metal barrette and contact is still holding tight ) . I wasn't sure if the contact would hold under tension and compression but I am starting to think it might .Just another off the wall idea of mine
  11. Looks good ! Be sure and post a pic when you get them done please . I just can't help myself ............................................... glad neither ones first name was Green
  12. Well it looks like I missed completely Glad you got it taken apart and I would have to put new rawhide on the head while it's down .
  13. I started with a $20,00 knife and after a year and a half thought I needed an up-grade ( about $70.00 knife ) . Only difference is the cradle free wheels a little better .........

  16. Fine looking blades as always ! How does the welt work if you don't mind me asking ?
  17. Now that is thinking outside the box !!!! Very cool and stylish idea .
  18. I blew up the drawings and it looks like the handle end has a shoulder down in there that's attached to the end cap you can see . The nut I think is on a collet part of the main sleeve . Good luck with restoring it .
  19. @DwightT and @Wepster good ideas all around !! If the friction fit loosens over time a simple wrap of masking tape on the candle tin would work . I think it will take a small boat load of candles before it is a problem but I may be wrong .
  20. Hey ......... what's that nylon sheath doing on a leatherworkers belt ? Looks good Chuck !!
  21. That is how I got the " speckled " effect on this , but I had to cut out a negative to cover for over spray . I wasn't too picky about nozzle size and just used one from the house and held it a couple of feet away .
  22. Take this with a pound of salt ......... but looking at patent #662,691 , I would think loosening the nut and placing a rod that just goes in the hole on the handle end and tapping that rod would start it apart . Again I do NOT KNOW , might need someone with a little machinist knowledge to look at the drawings . https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/08/d5/50/ad30f9cac6db57/US662691.pdf
