    Wish I could take credit for the idea but the truth is a lady I made a pencil/pen holder for decided that she would drop a mason jar down in hers and use it like this. Lady that works with her wanted this one for the same purpose , I didn't even have to put a bottom in this one .

    Here is the pig ( mason jar ) which we use around these parts for everything from it's intended use of canning food to a drinking vessel , Sevin dust applicator , temporary home for lighting bugs ( aka fireflies) , and a vase for cut flowers . The lipstick still a pig but all gussied-up

    Another pencil / pen holder . This one is for a lady's desk and has her favorite flower of which I had never heard of ( Dahlia ) ! After a google image search , it seems that I can't mess this up they are all the basic same shape and every color possible !!!!

    @PastorBob Thank you Brother for the condolences and for your prayers . I didn't do to well this last year but God has seen me through ! To me it is more comfortable than a one piece and no there is no noise ( leather on a D ring ) might squeak if the leather ever got to dry .

    I haven't been doing much leather since my wife went home to the Lord . Just haven't been interested , any way this sling has given me something to do .

    How do you know that @chuck123wapati Packing tape front and back is your friend ........ and makes a pattern re-usable as far as the ballpoint pens go . But like you say if it's something you will be doing a lot of, the "tap-off " is the way to go .

    Like AlZilla said for most things , other times I use transfer paper when placing with minimal clearance is a concern .

    Really nice !!!!!! The single strap is way more comfortable to me than the 90 cross in my back ( even done with leather ) . I bet the elastic is very comfortable

    I would round the ends of the main strap , then bleed knot the concho strap about 3 times and leave a short tail hanging .
