  1. Looks outstanding !!! Very nice solution to overcome barrel length problem
  2. Not knowing exactly the projects , maybe once the pattern is cut go ahead and punch stitching holes , just mist the leather for tooling . No you won't get the best results for tooling but maybe acceptable . You can also dye slightly wet leather and to be honest I do that quite often ( I find it helps to even out the color ), having pre-punched stitching holes you could move to stitching with minimal drying . I am assuming you are teaching the basics and not an advanced class , all this just to say do as much as can be done before wetting the leather and then wet only as much as is absolutely necessary . + 1 on the hair dryer
  3. Nice !!!!! I am sure it will be much appreciated .
  4. OH it works , we have a local store that has a " Going Out of Business Sale " twice a year !!!!!! When they are not going out of business their prices are about 10 or 15 percent cheaper AND morons still fall for it every time .
  5. As always ..... OUTSTANDING on both blades and leather !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. See this is why I will never make a business man . I will not justify MY price for something I made to anyone ! Price = take it or leave it ............. seems so simple Chances are good that if they know leatherwork price will make their mind up , if they don't know then anything I say will fall on X-Mart ears .
  7. Not being a fan of horror movies I had to look Chucky up and it looks like you nailed it . I bet little man will love it !

  10. Absolutely !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice job .
  11. Very Nice !!! The pivots really make these comfortable . I use 5 oz for the strap and also connect with Chicago screws to let these be pivots as well , just kind of molds to the wearer .

  13. My theory ............... maybe your support table is not wide enough to support the hide ( assuming both ends are clamped and the middle is not ) # 2....... or maybe your lighting in the center is giving a false " on the mark " I have had that affect a lot of things in carpentry work over the years . Any way good luck figuring it out !!
