Yep sure does. I'll try & get around to tooling some more later today. We will see if they turn out. Thanks I really appreciate everything.

Lol I think I read that article, where a person went A-wall over other options & suggestions for a leather sealer. Lol I'm not that guy! I was going to ask about mop & glo, but was unsure. I'll look next time I'm in the store. I got a quart of tandy eco-flo super shene sealer, I just dont know if it will work with the fiebings pro dye. Thanks I appreciate your time & knowledge.

Thanks. So are you saying you would use a stylus for the veined/lined wing sections? Thanks I appreciate your input.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I'm horrible at drawing too. I think I just need more practice with the swivel knife.

Great looking tote bag. You do nice work. Love the purple/blue straps. What color do they call that? Its sharp! Thanks.

Nice looking group of fine looking wallets there. Great work. Very nice.

Also forgot to add I believe they come with a acrylic grid template for a straight & angled weave patterns.

Guys & gals I ran across these leather weaving punches & thought I would share them on here. How cool are these? Beautiful weave pattern. Any of you professional leather crafters seen these or used them? Sorry for no link. But here is a pic. I think I'll order a set & see how bad I might cuss them or like them. LOL!

The big oval stamp is a 1⅜long by 1"tall. The small oval stamp is 7/8"long by 5/8" tall. Nothing fancy thou. Straight oval border with name & location.

I went with SteelStampsinc to make them. I had 2 different styles made. Both oval shaped. 1 large & 1 small stamp. I cant wait to get them, supposed to show up around the 10th of January.

Looks good. Great work. -
Guys & gals, I have been wanting to try Fiebings Pro Dye, cause it looks like good stuff. My question is: What Seal or Top coat sealer options do I have? Most all top coat/sealers will freeze. So that wont be a option till spring. Can I use the aerosol Fiebings Leather Sheen or the aerosol Fiebings Saddle Lac? What options do I have? Thanks any & all help will be appreciated.

I'll do that. Lol now I want some custom stamps made. But at $200-$250 each I'll only get a couple, if they will even make what I want.

My technique for hand stitching thick welts
DieselTech replied to DeWayne Hayes's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
Thanks I appreciate the info & your knowledge. I do my knife sheaths & 6 shooter holsters about the same. But I never have that thick of welt. How do you remove all your extra welt on the outside? Thanks. -
Guys & gals. I got my makers mark stamp all designed today. Cant wait to get it. Lmao that stamp was tall priced!!!

Awesome work! Looks great. I have been thinking something along them lines. Thanks for sharing it.

I think you can go to Tandys site & download assembly instructions. Sometimes they even have a video. I know all the patterns I have bought have been that way. Hope this might help.

Looks good. Great work!

I'm no master leather crafter, but getting better. But one little piece of advice I would like to share about securing the spring clip. Cover it with lighter leather than 4-5oz leather. I will use 2-3oz leather on the next one to cover the spring clip.
-
Thanks for the kind words. Them spring money clips I got thru Tandy, but I think Weaver, & bunch of other manufacturers carry them. As of now I cant tell you how durable they are, but the Tandy clips look well made for what they are. I've had a couple friends give me a couple ideas, in using them in a different style wallet. So I might see what else I can come up with.

Thanks for the info & tip. I never thought about using a fabric as a liner. Plaid/flannel lining would be kind of neat. I may have to try this. Appreciate it.

Yep, I agree. What a great forum & community here. I've learned soo much in the little time I've been here. Plus we get to see all the neat & beautiful projects being made.
