A customer of mine recently bought a POS holster on Amazon. The thing was still wet and transferred dye to his hands when he pulled it out of the box! So now he wants me to make him a new one. Problem is, I have NO clue how to make this holster he wants. He offered to send the POS to me to reverse engineer a new holster, but would rather return it and get his money back. So my question is this: Is there a pattern for this holster?

Hi gang, I'm going to restore this holster for someone. It needs some stitching repair, a new snap, and things like that which are pretty easy. However they requested that I try and remove the scuff marks as much as possible and I wondered if anyone has any tricks or tips on doing that. I THINK this holster is veg tan because the edges are burnished, but I'm not 100% sure on that. It seems to have some wax finish on it, I'm not sure about stripping the wax, redying, or whatever might work. Also I think it would be nice to somehow keep that old patina that it has. Anyway, any thoughts? Thanks!

My first crack at an Avenger style holster (thanks JLS Leather for the 1911 pattern which gave me a place to start), and first try with an exotic inlay. The gun is kind of a unique pistol (hard to find a good holster) belonging to my uncle, who asked for a left handed holster. Had a lot of fun trying something besides a traditional pancake design. Thanks to you who have posted about adding inlays-- it was fun to give that a go too (using lizard from the Springfield Leather "grab bag" of scraps). Thanks for looking. Always open to critiques! Here is my first revolver holster- a gift for my Dad. He likes to inlay a Montana coin in his woodworking projects, so I thought I'd do the same for his holster. Thanks to everyone here for all the tips I have gleaned over the past months as I've taken up leatherwork. My learning curve has been shortened considerably thanks to all the expertise offered here. What a great community! God bless, Tanner

I just made a inside waistband holster and not sure why it is coming to a point out at the end. Is there a different way to do the end so it doesn't do this? Thanks!

Does anyone know the proper name (so I can order it) for the closure hardware on a Nambu Holster flap. I know that the flap-strap locks onto a brass button stud, but what is the locking hardware called on the flap-strap so I can order one. Also where would I order one.

I would Like to have someone make me a holster for my new Sig P238. I am right handed and I think I would like IWB in the front on my right side. Please email pics of your past work to LunchboxSBSMC@yahoo.com. Thank you very much Jeff

Trying to locate any information on this shotgun shell bandolier. My intention is to harvest the parts and make a new belt so I can put it back to use. I want to check first to see if there is any information out there on these types of belts and if there is any reason not to remake it into a serviceable piece of gear. It fits 12 gauge shells and has no makers mark or any indications as to who made or manufactured it.

Hi guys (: I've been wanting to make a mini-holster ever since I saw Wayne Christensen's excellent work in the IFOLG gallery for swivel knife holsters. The floral design on these is just sortof made up from the swampy plants around here in Florida.. I have a lot to learn still for traditional western tooling- It was suggested I use a saddle-stitch and I know I also need to work on burnishing my edges! This is my first holster; I hope u guys find it super-cute!! Lol (it holds my fav. 2 vintage brass swivelknives) *below r process pics & closeups

My first attempt at a holster. Made some mistakes, but overall I think the pattern worked well and the retention is good so I'm pleased with my first attempt. 7/8 oz. Herman Oak, Tiger thread, Eco-flo gel antigue.

Hey guys so I'm going to try my hand at a holster for my pop. He has a S&W Sigma 40V which is equivalent to a Glock 19. What's a good leather thickness I should use for this? Is there a forum topic on wet forming a leather holster or do you guys have a better way of forming? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I was working on my second holster today and with 90% complete I realize that it sits too high on the belt. My question is this. How much effort do you put into "fixing" a prototype before chalking it up to a learning experience and tossing it in the round file? I'm sure that I could re-work this one to be servicable, but it will never be sellable.

Depending on the circumstances I carry either on my strong side, cross draw, or behind my back, plus the pistol itself is not super common so a store bought solution is not available..
