  1. make / manufacturer: Pfaff model name / number: 545 Industrial sewing machine for sale PFAFF 545 with new servo motor for SALE Craigslist add has pics and details. https://redding.craigslist.org/for/d/igo-pfaff-545-walking-foot-industrial/7216319921.html I bought this in the hopes of taking my leather working game up another notch, but I just got into nursing school and won’t have the time for it. Plus I need the money for school. I researched this a ton before purchasing it. It’s a beautiful sturdy old machine made in Germany and very well built. I updated it with a servo motor by Reliable, the Sewquiet 6000sm, which costs about 190$. This motor is well reviewed and the company gets great reviews as well, if you ever have any difficulties with it. I still have the clutch motor available also, the installation is very simple. I bought the machine and table from a store in San Francisco that was going out of business. They were using it to make canvas and leather bags. 1,400$ and I’ll deliver it anywhere in southern Oregon to the Bay Area. If you want it delivered then there’s a 500$ deposit with the rest payable on delivery. Or 1,215$ and you’ve got to come pick it up yourself with someone to help move it. It’s pretty heavy. I live near Redding. You should have some familiarity with this machine, I won’t be able to show you much about it as I just got it and haven’t had time to get to know it well. Lots of YouTube videos available. I’m not trying to make money on it, I’m just trying to get back the money I’ve put into it. So no lowballing please.
  2. Luberto Classic Heavy Duty Sewing Machine. My father was a saddle maker and this was his machine. It's heavy cast iron on a wood table top. All one piece. Pedal or manual sewing for controlled stitching. Works perfectly. Very heavy and will need to be picked up from Pioneertown, Ca. (near Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree) I'm sorry I really don't know much about the mechanics of it but I know it works fine and never had any issues. Purchased new in 2008. Asking $5000 obo.
  3. I've got a Bernina 217 that I like a lot. My sewing is mostly sails, canvas covers for boats, and things like 'dodgers' (http://www.shipshapecanvas.com/canvas_dodgers.php) which involve sewing through both thick plastic and multiple layers of Sunbrella. What's not great is that the foot pressure is (somewhat) limited, and the bobbin is small. For really substantial jobs I'll haul out a Juki 562 (with no reverse) that I picked up amazingly cheap...but it's straight-stitch only, and has no reverse. I've got a chance to get an Adler 98-2-8. It's not a walking foot, which would be nice, but otherwise looks like a beefier machine than the Bernina, and at least one place I read said that it had a really strong feed, which would be great. I'd probably sell the Bernina if I got the Adler. Any thoughts? (Availability of parts? Quality of the machine? Suitability for these kinds of tasks?) Thanks in advance.
  4. Quick (and most likely rhetorical) question... When doing a straight line stitch, I get that I want to go back over my starting stitch to lock it in and then again at end. When doing the complete circumference of a piece (like going around a wallet) 360 degrees, do I need to do the same or does overlapping the starting stitch with the end by 2-3 stitches suffice. Thanks // Brian
  5. Hello All, I have my grandfathers Singer 7-11 sewing machine that he used for leather working. The machine is in excellent condition with no known issues. It was last used regularly around 8 years ago and been stored inside since then. Please let me know what questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them. $1200 USD - Cincinnati, Ohio Pictures below. Thanks, Chris.
  6. I would love some advice on how/where to sell a leather sewing machine. I'm closing my business (never really got off the ground) and I have a Cobra Class 26 that I need to sell. Much appreciated, Luanne
  7. Condition: Almost new, fully functional Price: 160USD Includes: Creasing Machine, Handle, handle and tips holder I am currently a student in University of Wisconsin - Madison. The reason that I am selling off my creasing machine is because I am planning to reallocate, and I need to put leather crafting on hold for a while. The Machine is fully functional, without any defects, and the condition is almost new. Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to arrange a live video demo. Please contact me at +1(608) 320-8046 (send me a text or call me) Original Product Page: https://www.rmleathersupply.com/collections/machines/products/rocky-mountain-summit-x1-electric-creasing-and-edging-machine Original Price: 250 USD Keywords: Electric creaser, creasing machine, Regad, Adece
  8. Puritan needle/awl leather stitcher for sale. I purchased the machine from an auction where a sporting goods manufacturer had gone out of business. The machine had supposedly been in operation prior to their closing. I have not ever had it running as I have just had too many other projects and now having gone through a divorce and downsizing my house I need to purge a lot of these “someday I’ll get to it” projects. As best I can tell it has all its parts and the mechanism all turns freely. I’m not desperate to sell it by any means, so I’m not going to give it away. I’ll find a place to store it myself before I’d do that. What you see is what I have. $1,000 cash only. Serious offers will be considered. Located in Ona, WV in-person pickup is greatly preferred, but I can assist in preparing to ship if necessary and you pay the costs for crating materials. PM or email me at wvmotorider@gmail.com

Local pick up only - Tulare county California 93274. It weighs 250pounds my name is Ken - only serious buyers will I give out my phone number to. Thanks
  10. I'd mentioned it the other day when I received the mailer, but in case you hadn't heard, I find it interesting that Tandy is now selling Cobra machines. Not affiliated in any way. Here is the mailer I received last week: This morning I just received an email from Tandy about it on their website, which is new, fyi: https://www.tandyleather.com/en/tandypro-cobra-machines.html Anyway, I really like the Cobra machines, so I found this an interesting twist in the direction Tandy is going.
  11. Hi, how are you? I recently acquired an Osborne 85 Krebs style splitter in not so pretty but working condition. I cleaned it up a little and now I'm working on dialing it in. I'm wondering if any of you kind people have any tips, tricks, or advice for me. I got lucky and the previous owner took very good care of the blade so that's one major factor I don't think I have to worry about. This is my first experience using a splitter at all so I'd appreciate any response. For example, how much spring tension should be in the top roller? How much of a blade gap should I be going for? How far out should the bottom roller be from the blade? Did you replace any adjusting screws to improve performance? I'm grateful for any and all replies.

  14. This sale is for Jim Marsell. He is non electronic and wants to sell this machine. He is planing on moving and doesn't want to move this machine as it is not used for the type work he does. there are several stitching feet, needles and 3 bobbins. No bobbin winder with the machine. It has been setting in the corner of his shop for a period but was fully tuned before doing so. It worked perfect when last used. More pictures to follow
  15. Hey Guys, I am hoping this is a good place to get some information. My uncle is having me try to sell two industrial sewing machines he has in his garage, I know these were used for doing vehicle upholstery and that they do still work but thats about as far as my personal knowledge goes with them. I was hoping someone here might be able to shine a little light as to what they are, their features or most importantly what are they worth in this condition.
  16. Hello, I bought my Cobra Class 26 3 week ago (NEW). It´s really nice machine, and I like it a lot. But I have problems with servo motor and controlling the sewing speed. When i set speed on for example 15. I cannot sew slowly. When I press foot pedal, just a little bit it, sews immediately fast. And when i set speed on 5, it sews slow, but sometime accelerates for few stitches (like on number 10), and than slow again. But my foot pedal is still. Maybe you have some suggestions what can i do? I tried a lot, but probably not everything. Thanks a lot and have a nice day
  17. I am looking to purchase a kwickprint model 25 or 55, I currently have one and looking for a few more. I am based in the UK, but can arrange all shipping. Ideally the machine would be in good working order. Thanks Ned

  20. I am currently stitching all my wallets by hand because I like the way the thicker thread looks. I have a Consew 207rb5 that I use for any hidden stitches but it will not handle a large enough thread to replace hand sewing the visable areas. Being I am sewing wallets with 3-4oz Harness Leather it’s also crucial to have a feed dog that will not chew up the finished side of the leather. Any suggestions on alternatives to hand sewing that will give the same look with the larger thread?
  21. A friend picked this machine up for a good price, does anyone happen to know what brand it is or clone type? Thanks!

These items are included with the machine: Premium Accessory Package: Left Toe Presser Foot $75* Open Toe Center Foot $65* Double Toe Presser Foot $80* Right Toe Presser Foot $75* Work Platform $95* Holster Plate $156* Stirrup Plate $156* Slotted Plate $85* Blanket Set (Inside & Outside Feet w/ Feed Dog) $150* Heavy Duty Roller Edge Guide $95* Pair of Thread Nippers $2* LDA-1 Magnetic LED Light $20* $2200 , local pickup (Pensacola Fl), Will deliver within 200 miles for a fee. It is located in my hobby shop - Hobby Central, easily verified
  23. Hi, How economically feasable would you say is to buy an leather sewing machine like an Juki TSC 441 or it's clones like the Cobra class 4/CB 4500? I have heard stories from "just with 1 saddle repair you can pay off a leather sewing machine" to "it's more like a Hobby since Prices are to low for leather goods to justify an sewing machine". In my case it's indeed more an Hobby since I make only one-to-one personal sales despite I am on etsy.com. I have seen here an constructioners harness (for hammer, nails, screwdrivers, etc) made in Mexico (Truper brand) seemingly real leather for about 6 US$. Well constructed, lots of rivets and sewn with about #69 thread. Clear is, for that Price I would never make the harness. I would rather have an Price of 49 US$. Whats the real leather market about? Considered big retailers, Made in China and local leather shops as competition.
  24. I recently purchased a juki lu563. It came with an extra motor, a enduro pro sm645-1p. It was missing the fuse cap and fuse. I contacted enduro and they can’t tell me what amp fuse is used with this motor. Does anyone know what amp buss fuse is used with this motor? I’d like to get it running. thanks
