Here is a NEW design concept I have been working on to cut leather belt straps? The guides and the tooling are self centered. No Setup on tool changes, just drag and drop. What do you think? Any improvements, comments or suggestions? Please share the leather belt strap punch and cutters that you use?

Can anyone tell me if the attachments and dies for the Strap Warehouse handyman press will work on the Weaver little wonder press? Specifically the handyman round hole punches, oblong punches, end punches, and the handyman self centering guide. I need to order some more attachments for the weaver little wonder press, but weaver doesn't even have oblong or end punches for the little wonder. Strap Warehouse has some for the handyman. I need to know if they are interchangeable between the 2 presses, before I order, and I can't find any information online.

very lightly used clicker press. original owner (Bota of Boulder) used it as a back up in case his main one was down for service, which he said rarely happened. his business stopped operating 15 years ago and the press sat in his warehouse. i have owned it for 2+ years, but have only had power to it for the past month. sadly, i just found out i have to move and don't have anywhere for it. electrical hook ups, cutting boards and phase converter included. http://www.freemanschwabe.com/presses/schwabe-presses-machines-systems/schwabe-model-d-clicker-presses RATED CAPACITY ............................... 25 TONS STROKE ...........(ADJUSTABLE)................ 1/4" - 3" SWING ARM .................................... 13" X 24" TABLE ........................................ 20" X 40" MOTOR SPECS .................... 3 HP MOTOR, 208/220/440 VOLT FEATURES: - 2 HAND OPERATION - AUTOMATIC SPRING RETRUN FOR FASTER OPERATION DIMENSIONS: 48" X 40" X 72" H WEIGHT: 3,000 LBS. $2800 press is located in Boulder, Colorado 80304 thanks, joel, 646-246-4096

Hello everyone! I’m new to the forum. I started my leathercraft journey earlier this year. My business has been taking off and I’m now in the market for a clicker press. I’d like to find a nice used one that’s not to expensive. ~ $400 - $800 range depending on the press, including shipping costs. I’m hoping there’s someone out there that has upgraded to something larger, power, or even laser and doesn’t need their 4 ton or smaller manual clicker press anymore. It will really help my small business production wise. Looking forward to seeing what you guys have. God Bless, Anthony.

When one of my hobbies demand a tool my other hobby skills come to the rescue. Starting out in leatherwork I may not have the money to have fancy equipment but I do have the means to build what I need. Maybe someday I may get into selling more leather creations but for now, I am just preparing in case I do get serious in the future by having fun building cool things now. The die bender is very simple and works well. Using Autodesk Inventor software I worked out a functioning model to build into a tables surface and a handle to push downward to counterforce any table movement that it may cause. I already have an idea to make a different version that will be able to change out the bending points (whatever they are called) and stay out of the way of the bending steel rule on itself by making most of the mechanism under the surface of the table like a few commercial designs out there. The manual clicker press (pictured below) I made after a mini hydraulic press I saw online. Made some improvements by welding the joints solid instead of nuts and bolts (nobody ever takes them apart) for better rigidity and with tighter tolerances on the sliding parts so the press works smooth and solid. Still, need a few tweaking on both machines but overall they were a success for my needs. I would not recommend anyone asking me to make one for them because you can purchase the same class of tools in the open market for the same cost of what I would charge to make plus, the shipping cost. That said, in material cost, the press was estimated 40$-50$ and the die bender was built from scrap I had laying around. I am always open to suggestions and ideas for DIY projects like this that starving artisans like myself can benefit.

Has anybody seen Tandy's new clicker press? When I first heard it was coming and going for around $950 with business pricing, I was really excited. But after going out to see it last week, I'm really disappointed. I figured they just put their name on something that was already being made and we'd end up with one in the same style as the Weaver Mighty Wonder or Cowboy's manual press. But that's not what they did at all. As best I can tell, they must be having this thing made just for them. I was so disheartened I didn't even bother to take a picture, but they're rolling out into stores nationwide, so it should be on the website shortly. If you haven't seen it yet... it looks kind of like the Tippman and the Weaver merged into one. It looks like it's about the same size as the small Tippman and, like the Tippman, it has a fixed and relatively short opening height, but it's not pneumatic. It's got a lever like the Weaver, but it lacks the Weaver's ability to swing side to side (it's best feature in my opinion). If that's not bad enough, it actually has walls on either side (the whole thing looks like it's about 8 inches wide), which seriously limits what you could ever use it for. I'm shocked Tandy chose this route actually. If there's one thing I've learned hanging out in these forums, it's how thrifty and resourceful this crowd is. I don't think I could do anymore with this press than I could with my Harbor Freight Arbor Press, so why would I pay $900 more for it?

Looking to sell my tippmann 1500 with the actuator tank attachment and a really nice heavy duty custom table on casters that was built for it. Upgraded to an atom press recently which is why im selling this one off. Great clicker and OSHA compliant. Looking to get $3200. Im located in Miami, FL. Willing to ship but all the details have to be worked out. I'd imagine it would cost around +- $700 to ship. If you have your own forwarded set up even better.

Hi all, I currently make leather bags by hand (up to 10oz thick) and am looking to buy some machinery to ease the strain on my joints - I've done some research but it's hard to find any UK sellers for most of the things suggested on this forum - I wondered if anyone could recommend any hand presses (for punching and rivet setting), hand clickers (for die cutting), and burnishing machines sold in the UK. Budget is pretty limited, hence the request for hand tools rather than hydraulic. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Danielle
