I also run PopOS ... I'm very happy with it! Do you have a System76 computer also? Thanks for the script, I might like the new version. You can also use the "snap" pacakge. I was against the idea of "snap"s in the past, but I am warming up to them. https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-1.2/gnulinux/snap/

After listening to you guys I have to be thankful that the hospital is just 20mins away. Just as well cos I've had a couple weeks of it, the latest was a camera down my throat, through my stomach and into my bowel. I'm brave says I, don't need sedation. My God. After 20 mins of gagging and coughing and worse( can't say more else @Northmount will tell me off.) Never again. That was the day before yesterday. Yesterday I put my dog to sleep. Getting old sucks.

There must be something in the settings because when I click on a subject it automatically goes to the last message posted I dunno where to find it. Perhaps if we summon @Northmount he might know
-
Nice work! Looks great.
-
Now you got me lol I've never seen/heard of that one.

Not sure if there's a setting somewhere that I have to click on. Right now, on the website, when I click on a thread title I've already read it goes straight to post #1. If it's possible I was wondering if when we click on a thread title if it could automatically go to the last post I read. Ex; if I go the the "Mineral oil bad for leather? Or good? Or neutral?" It puts me on post #1 but it has 300+ post so I have to go to the last page then scroll to the last thing I read. When using my phone If I click on the thread title it goes to post #1 but if I click on the bubble it takes me to the last post in the thread. Other websites automatically go the the last post I read when I click on the thread title.

Wow! I hope you don't bump it anymore. When I was a kid I was working at a sail making company in Florida. One of my friends there made the mistake of running a sewing machine faster than his finger could move out of the way. He put a couple stitches in his finger and was lucky it didn't hit bone. That instilled in me to this day to keep my fingers away from things that could severely damage them. Whether it's a sewing machine or a circular saw I keep my fingers at a safe distance. And I always turn them off or unplug them if I have to work around the business end. Stay safe

I can see the record centre now youse mention it but my first thought was of the Isle of Mann three legs symbol, the triskelion

Thanks for this! I just updated to version 1.4.2 and it looks a lot cleaner than the 1.1 version I've been running! I run Pop! OS which is based on Ubuntu If you want to update your's open your terminal and paste this into it. You'll need to enter your password, then it'll ask you to confirm a few times. sudo add-apt-repository universe sudo add-apt-repository ppa:inkscape.dev/stable sudo apt update sudo apt install inkscape To verify the update inkscape --version I haven't tried printing multiple pages yet but hopefully I'll get around to it soon.

@chuck123wapati i was changing his dressings frequently before his cancer op, but post op at the local hospital they use specialised medicated dressings that aid healing, and they work too. Good to hear you're progressing well with your pottery , and just like leather, the sky's the limit ๐ The pot of soup is delish, there's a few more meals yet to go . God bless Mum for teaching me how to cook . I have yet to make her home made pickle, I found her 'secret ' recipe in her mountain of cook books. HS -
Finger Guard for Juki 341
Cumberland Highpower replied to friquant's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I bet that hurt... in 20 years I've only been bitten really good once. It was with one of my little machines that I use allot. What got me? The new "silent" ISM servo I had installed on it. I went to flip the thread out from under the feet with my finger and right then it decided to put the needle down. (had been fiddling with the positioner and didn't have it secured. Drove the needle right through my finger, clean through the bone and out the bottom. I was running 138 thread so I did have a heavy needle in it-But I'm surprised it didn't break/shatter. -
Honestly most people know what it is and actually like the idea

Thank you! Definitely something I wouldn't have thought to do, thank you. Thank you!

Inkscape 1.2 apparently has a "multipage" feature that I have not tried. I'm using Inkscape 1.1 now (it's what Debian has in the repo I guess) but I could see if I could download Inkscape 1.2 at some point (or do the lazy thing and wait for it). https://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/Multipage

nice tooling work indeed, i like a thumb hole. Put some locktite on those screws they come loose about two miles in.
-
Wow! that is super impressive! All stitched by hand too! I feel my fingers cramping as we speak.
-
wow that is nice!! Great looking stitching job imo.
-
Is that a very long strap, doubled over around the buckle to give you 2 layers? Very tedious work. The overlapped stitching isn't noticeable until you look for it. Very fine work!

Good evening, I made this shoulder holster over 10 years ago, and now I need to make another one. I still have most of the pattern, but Iโve moved 3 times since. Iโve been looking all over the internet for this particular pattern pack, to no avail. I have a general idea on putting this together, but thereโs a piece, in shape of a โTโ that gets sewed to the backside with 3 D rings, I know 2 of the D rings are for the straps. The 3rd one I am not sure. The belt loop strap is further down towards the bottom of the holster. I am currently suffering from brain fog, Can someone help me with the name of this particular pattern, or maybe someone in here has a picture of the backside of the holster completed? Thank you in advance!
