  1. Good looking work. I like the pigskin lining color, did it come like that or did you dye it?
  2. Wow, really great work. I love the depth on the dueling skulls bib. There's a lot of backgrounding there. Thanks for sharing your work.
  3. Thanks very much for making this available for free. Just another example of the generosity of leatherworkers. This will make a great birthday gift for my nephew.
  4. You got nothing to be embarassed about there brother. The sheath is top notch and compliments the knife perfectly. What is the stamp that you used on the sheath, looks kind of unusual. Beautiful knife, love those mosaic pins and the file work on the spine.
  5. http://www.theliberator.be/liberator2.htm Scroll about halfway down the page. Doesn't have patterns, but has pictures that you might can use if you can't find patterns. http://www.ima-usa.com/product_info.php/products_id/552 More pictures, better detail or you can buy it. Hope this helps.
  6. Wow Ed, that is really beautiful. I love the "patchwork" basketweave. Is that an "SW" incorporated into the design on the front or just some vines that look that way? Your friends daughter should be very proud of that.
  7. Thanks to all of you. I believe I can get it right this time. Storm: nothing wrong with low tech sometimes. I'll post pics when I get it done. Levi
  8. Who'da thunk it? Ain't technology grand. The cases are very nice.
  9. Great work. What kind of material is the lining and where would one get some? Good to see you back here and CC.
  10. Very nicely done Mike. How do you keep your thread so white? Mine usually gets a little dingy after being run through the leather so many times.
  11. Mike, I'm a little slow, so bear with me. I'm drawing a line from the mid point on the left edge to the lower right hand corner to get a diagonal line?
  12. I recently had to get a new password emailed to me. I can't find a place where I can change that to the password that I want to use. Little help?? Thanx. Name: Levi Adams UserName: ETW Grumpy IP Address: 70.232.43.108 Email Address: alter.nate@live.com
  13. Thanks Noah, that's very generous of you.
  14. Does anyone know how to figure the top and bottom radius for a wrist bracer? Also, is the radius different for different lengths?
  15. Keep a scrap piece handy when you dye. Dip the brush, touching the side of the bottle to wipe some of the excess dye off (be careful not to splatter), then touch the brush to the flesh side of the scrap to bleed a little more of the excess off. Then touch the brush to the part of the piece you want to dye. Start in the center of a larger area and when your brush feels like its getting close to being re-dipped, find a small area to use the last little bit of dye remaining in the brush. Keeps bleeding to a minimum. Hope this helps.
  16. That hood is crazy cool! Looks like Steampunk. Awesome dye job.
  17. Beautiful work as always Kate. Since you're answering questions, do you knock out all the tooling at one time? If not, do you re-wet the leather each time or have a secret for keeping it workable?
  18. Thanks Kate. I appreciate the help. Levi
  19. Thanks Tim! Got some other stuff that'll be done soon, so I'll have pictures of those too.
  20. Did a wallet and ID case for a friend and his wife. Thanks very much to Citizen Kate for helping me with color choices. Thanx for looking.
  21. That's way cool. Someone will be very proud to show that one off at church.
  22. I've never used aniline dyes, so I can't give you any input there. The construction and tooling are both top shelf. Great looking bag that anyone would be proud to own. Did you use a pattern or was it of your own creation? Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
