Tool Box with 0ver 100 tools Great set of leather tools for the beginner or the intermediate leather worker. All the tools are used but in great shape. all are vintage tools .Most cannot be bought at any tandy store because they have been discontinued for years. That was when Tandy had quality control and the tools were made to last and made with pride. Most of the tools were made by Tandy craftool USa before leather factory bought the company and turned it into a chinse company and lowered there quality control. So most were made in the 60's and 70's I am asking $500 for this set. if you wanted to buy this set from tandy it would be well over $1000.00 for this set. $500.00 plus $40.00 for shipping for a total of 540.00 for this set if you are over seas contact me before youbut this item. shipping will be more that what is stated. I accept paypal and will invoice you as soon as you agree to . here is a small sample of "Native American Style" projects that I have done. All are made of leather and all are made with no patterns except the belt and that pattern was found in the belt book by Al Stholman.all of the feathers are made in 3-D and made in the dance bustle of the Southern plains stlye all mirrors are covered in leather and tool and the mirror in the white buffalo is etched with a mini sand blaster. The point I am getting at is you can creat your own patterns to make anything you want. some of my next projects will be egyptian and I will creat my own patterns. the only thing hold you back is your imagination and you just need to open tthe door to your imaganition and let it do what it want to do and all you need to do is l;et it go and get ready for the ride. you might be amused as to where it can lead you.

I have to go slow but I want it to heal fast. Why is it when you can not dothe work is when you get tons of great ideas. Go a note book clkose by just for that lol. -

Roo.my leather sensei had a techanique where he chip carved the leather and then embossed it with a 1/2 or 2/3 oz and use it for his 3-d leather mirrors and boxes and it was amazing what he created. I wish I had pictures. Those who say it is no good for anything or it is too primative has never broke out of the al stolhman carving phase and are still doing the samething 30 years later and have never advanced beyong hobby leather work.. they have never looked out of the box and they read a 50 year old book that said that their way was the only way to do leather and they took it to heart. the leather greats thought out of the box and that is why they have gone on to become the masters and future masters. those who can only do al stolhman work or sheridan work only are only limited by there limited imaganition. don't listen to them and don't be discourged by them ,.they are just purist that have no clue as to what you can do with leather .I feel sorry for them for they are being left behind in the 19th century. keep up the good work and if I can get pictures I will post them. Chain, I go back with a modeling tool and I smooth out the edges of the tooling to get rid of the sharp edges . What that does is to give it a more muted effect and make it look more realistic,I some times will lightly dampen the leather and place a box on top of it with a couple of pounds in it if I did not back the leather and it cups on me while tooling . That does flatten out the leather, but I have never heard of casing the leather and then rolling it.that is a new one on me.

you can use a buffer motor but you need to slow it dow2n so you do not burn the leather. they have a rheostat that can do the and it letys you control the rpm so you will not go to fast. as for using the Tandy poly burnisher I use a 1/4 " bolt and nut and chuck it up to my drill and use it sometimes

FORREST GUMP GOES TO HEAVEN The day finally arrived. Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven. He is at the Pearly Gates, met by St. Peter himself. However, the gates are closed, and Forrest approaches the gatekeeper. St. Peter said, 'Well, Forrest, it is certainly good to see you. We have heard a lot about you. I must tell you, though, that the place is filling up fast, and we have been administering an entrance examination for everyone. The test is short, but you have to pass it before you can get into Heaven.' Forrest responds, 'It sure is good to be here, St.Peter, sir. But nobody ever told me about any entrance exam. I sure hope that the test ain't too hard. Life was a big enough test as it was.' St. Peter continued, 'Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is onlythree questions. First: What two days of the week begin with the letter T? Second: How many seconds are there in a year? Third: What is God's first name?' Forrest leaves to think the questions over. He returns the next day and sees St. Peter, who waves him up, and says, 'Now that you have had a chance to think the questions over, tell me your answers.' Forrest replied, 'Well, the first one -- which two days in the week begins with the letter 'T'? Shucks, that one is easy. That would be Today and Tomorrow.' The Saint's eyes opened wide and he exclaimed, 'Forrest, that is not what I was thinking, but you do have a point, and I guess I did not specify, so I will give you credit for that answer. How about the next one?' asked St. Peter. 'How many seconds in a year? Now that one is harder,' replied Forrest, 'but I thunk and thunk about that, and I guess the only answer can be twelve.' Astounded, St. Peter said, 'Twelve? Twelve? Forrest, how in Heaven's name could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?' Forrest replied, 'Shucks, there's got to be twelve: January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd.. ' 'Hold it,' interrupts St. Peter. 'I see where you are going with this, and I see your point, though that was not quite what I had in mind....but I will have to give you credit for that one, too. Let us go on with the third and final question. Can you tell me God's first name'? 'Sure,' Forrest replied, 'it's Andy.' 'Andy?' exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St Peter. 'Ok, I can understand how you came up with your answers to my first two questions, but just how in the world did you come up with the name Andy as the first name of God?' 'Shucks, that was the easiest one of all,' Forrest replied. 'I learnt it from the song:> ANDY WALKS WITH ME, ANDY TALKS WITH ME, ANDY TELLS ME I AM HIS OWN.' St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates, and said: 'Run, Forrest, run.!________________________________________________________' Lord, Give me a sense of humor.Give me the ability to share a clean joke, To get some humor out of life, And to pass it on to other folks !
