  1. I like to not mold the ejection that deep, and you already know about the slots. I like the look -- coordinated colors, consistent stitchin', and who don't like that shark?@! Make sure you have enough room in the site channel and should be fine!
  2. I gotta say, I think basket stamp need some kind of border / termination. But you got it crisp and straight as ever!
  3. We've seen your color work, and we are not concerned about "spoiling" I like it already!
  4. So you got taxes in Oregon too, eh?
  5. Chores day. Take end of sewing machine apart and clean all the fuzzies out, oil it good (better than the normal "routine" cleaning). Back up computer files and patterns. Order boxes and labels. Start the dreaded inventory ...
  6. From the album: Odds

I'm late putting this up, but Alex does nice work and it's REDIKLUS not to give a mention to those who gave you good service. Git 'em at https://am-leathercraft.com/pages/custom-made-stamps

1.) In case you were wondering how it would look to put blue stitch on black leather, now you now without coughin' up the $20 for the thread just to find out you don't like it. 2.) In 2019, I got down first with images ROFL / WINK
  8. For a couple hunnert dollars difference, DEFINITELY the powered version. If you're doing ONE, or even ONE A WEEK, maybe get an awl. If you're doing more than that, the powered version is a no-brainer.
  9. Ran into a fella at a gun show yesterday --- said he just bought a holster from somebody else for a pistol that I am working on a design for. Pretty new gun. So I said 'cool-send me a picture of it'. And gave him my card with the phone num on it. But instead of the pic of the HOLSTER I thought he was gonna send, the guy sent me a screen shot of the web site where he got it. YIKES! Those designs look real familiar, considerin' I'm NOWHERE NEAR south carolina Seriously, fellas - those designs are FREE and I MEANT that they get used. And nobody needs to give credit for the designs, I've never even asked that. But do you know how SAD you look when you're all up on the web site proclaiming them as your OWN original design? MAN, my regret here is that I won't be there to see that guy's face when he gets to MY site and sees the same designs, done better...and for almost $100 less Probably just as well I didn't see the site until after I left, or I likely would have corrected that guy's information right there with 100 other people.
  10. Well, tell us you at least let her pick the THREAD COLOR! Oh, and can I recommend conway buckles for dog collars? I don't do too many collars these days, but I like the little clip (button) buckles for smaller dogs and conway buckles for larger dogs -- both allow you to buckle the collar on and off without pulling the strap PAST where it fits.
  11. that DOES look familiar. Looks like you mighta skipta stitch 'er 2?
  12. Hopefully I can irritate you into learning even more To begin the irritation, check out and download some [free] holster patterns and PUH LEEZE alter them so they're more betterer. https://www.jlsleather.com/diy/holster-patterns-diy/ Instead of dumpin ammo at the range, you can dump your BUSINESS CARDS
  13. Holster patterns still where they were -- just the side bar has changed.
  14. #$@#$%!@!@$% WEB DESIGNS Granted, it's just wordpress. That may be the problem. Started to pay somebody, but explaining what I want almost seemed longer than jsut doing it. So, I start putting in a few things, get it WORKING, and THEN enter most of the "goods". Just about got it in the works, when the thing pretty much "decided" to "upgrade" wordpress (to 5 point something), and suddenly the shipping calculator is useless and I get messages about plug-ins not tested with that version of WP. Sigh .... Oh, and $79/year for USPS labels I would consider CHEAP for that service, print postage right from there. But SO many people on the site whining about the bugs in that ...
  15. Uh... Sandy is at the link in the blue globe under my post
  16. Well, SHOOOT - I cudda punched the slots if I knew that! I had slot punches made by Sandy 'n' friends at INTL DIE and by the foiks at USA Cutting Die (TX custom)-- both work well. Mine are 1.5" x just under 1/4", so when I burnish the slot I END UP with 1/4" wide. You could get away with a tad wider side to side, but I like em close vertically. Don't remember what I paid fer 'em , but I'm pretty sure it's LESS than those osborne punches, and mine actually cut
  17. Createx is fine, but you will have to thin it.
  18. No, it isn't. But you seem to miss the distinction. When people ask me what machine they should get, I tell 'em you're better off asking Bob (Toledo Ind). Need clicker dies made? Sandy does that very well (Int'l Die Co). Wanting "dummy" mags to mold clip carriers? Email Wayne (on this forum). And I have more. But a referral for somebody who did a good job for you is hardly an "ad". In fact, I don't have any patience at all for those who WON'T refer someone who did them a good service. STILL, some things are ads, and I don't mind ads at all. So why not call it that? Why the ruse? Is the product so much like every other that it needs THE HYPE?
  19. Not liking certain people? No idea where you got that ... cuz I didn't say that. All I said was if there's nothing "wrong" with selling, then why not just call it that?
  20. Yup - I bought a "cheap" pneumatic stapler for $19 .... wanted to "shoot" new aluminum soffitt on the house before hanging new siding. YEARS later, that gun still works great! Uses the same staples as other brands, attaches to the same air hose and couplings, .. only thing missing is the COMMERCIALS and HYPE
  21. I haven't watched them all. And I'm not going to. But that's largely what "videos" are -- ads. Since there were 2 mentions of Harry Rogers back to back, I clicked over there. Sure enough ... "just to be quite transparent about it .." he says, his "video" is "sponsored" by somebody making "leather burnishers". Now, while this guy AND the guy making the "burnishers" (which is a motor with a piece of wood with grooves in it) might BOTH be friendly fellows, the desired outcome is sell you this "burnisher". I'm not even suggesting that somebody SHOULDN'T go buy a couple of them, maybe an extra for the garage too. But cut the crap... it's an AD. A commercial. Marketing. Not my site ... and in the end it makes no difference to me where or what section to post in -- just a suggestion.
  22. Mods count!
  23. Little girl is cute. But I wont be using my daughter in an ADVERTISEMENT. Nope.
