  1. Oh i'll print off your business card till i pass out lady ! Thank you, i'll be here all week. Please tell a friend. If you can come up with something that would be cool. I'll place some at the local TLF also.
  2. I think that helped A LOT . So you just use one needle and stitch one way and then fill coming back ? Thanks for taking the time to write that up.
  3. Looks good to me, i like it. What color is that and what type ?
  4. Thanks peeps. After thinking about it, you could see the impression on the back side after i stamped the hell of it. It's about 8/9 oz belt. I think the impressions became dark after i dyed it. Which lead me to believe it's picking up the black ink off the newspaper i had under it when i dyed it. Like my hands do after handing the paper, like when i use it for packing and what not. I guess i moved the belt around more then i thought i did on the paper. I'll use wax paper next time or foil. Again thanks for the commits and tips, mucho appreciato . I gave the belt to him today and he loved it and that's what really matters.
  5. Oh that's just great , her first project has came out better then any i have done. JUST RUB IT IN, WHY DON'TCHA !! I think they both look great and they are great ideas. Now show here how to make a pen holder for 'em and get Dave to teacher how to make the pens. A couple more projects and she'll be telling you how to do leather work Clay. LOL...
  6. Well done Dan . That's gotta fell pretty good.
  7. Thanks for the kind words guys. Beeza that's good advise and i'll work on it. And Dan thanks for the support but i know my limits. LOL But, you're right you never know till you do it.
  8. Thanks, your to kind ( i like kindness ). It's got it's flaws but for Pops it will make him happy. I don't think i got the skills to be showing anything at the show. I'll be there looking though, that's for sure and i can't wait.
  9. I tell ya i learned alot from doing this project. My Father-In_Law kept telling me he needed a better belt. I had no idea he meant a gun belt. Long story short ( no really it's a long, long story ) He wanted me to try to make him a gun belt for a holster he has. He just wants it to be basket weaved. I get the holster from him to see if i can match the color and he goes on about how the holster is to long and blah, blah, blah. So i made a matching holster to the length he needs. I used his holster to go off of for a pattern, seeing as how i have no idea what i'm doing there. Excuse my hand stitching , i did it 4 times and trust me this is WAY better then the other 3 times. I used all eco-flo products. first i used the Timber Brown dye , 3 coats Then i used the Gel Antique Tan Then finished with Super Shene I had a hard time getting a good picture . The first one would be the best.
  10. Nice stuff. I really like that first one. Before enlarging it i thought it was just a concho and 2 real feathers. I dig the braid on that one as well.
  11. Welcome !!! I gotta tell ya......That looks SO freakin COOL !!! Great concept and very original to me. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
  12. Your work always looks very clean to me but, i gotta tell ya i'm always amazed at your stitching .I did a few practice runs about 6 months ago or so. I was all over the place. I just tried to hand stitch something tonite and i'm having a hard time keeping it tight and clean. Are you using a dauber with the all-n-ones ? I like them, they cover well but when i do a mid-size job or something long like a belt i get "strikes" with the dauber . When hand stitching are you using a horse and what size thread and needle are you using ? OH, and i like that color. I think i need that color. sign, 2 needles and no clue
  13. Ride 'em in Ride 'em out RAWHIIIIDDDEEE YEA !!! Sorry i couldn't resist . Hey i'm just a freak, yo ! We love picturesssss. The more you post the more we can look at.
  14. That's some really nice stuff man. Love your dye or paint jobs . Do yo use dye or paint ? And just how long have you been doing this. I'de say from what i sow on your site you've got what you do down.
  15. WOW. You sound like a woman on a mission and youi're hitting the gates a running. Broveaux !! I can't wait to see what you come up with.
  16. I dig it. Nice job man. So if there's no pad do you just glue the leather to the pan then rivet it on ? Is it still comfy ?
  17. I gotta tell ya i think those turned out great. After hearing the story about the conchos i'de have to say they are priceless. I 've found some similar on ebay Like these Or these I'de hold on to 'em and put one of those on there.
  18. Ok, why is it upside down ? I think it looks great black. When the design is big and shapely i think it still looks good black but,,, it's still hard to determine what will look good in all black until it is. 1--When you cut the hole in the bottom/side piece for the top piece. Do you trace the top piece then where the lace wholes in the top are to determine how much smaller the whole should be compared to the top ? That made since here, did it there ?? 2--Where do you get the foam and how thick is it ? 3--Do you just use a spray on adhesive like 3M to glue them together ?
  19. Ah man i hit the wrong key and lost my reply, i'll try again. When i saw you did a how-to i about pissed myself (nothing new there folks). Dave did a great one and now the beeza is doing one. I know people on other forums have asked you for one for some time now. Thanks for doing it here. Great write up man !!! Now it time to bug shirleyz for her how-to. LOL !!
  20. No need to test the water around here. Just jump right in, show us what you got. Welcome to the forums , look forward to seeing you work.
  21. Welcome to the addiction. Any question you can think of , just ask it. It's how we learn and i'm sure someone else is wanting to know as well or they didn't even think to ask yet. I've been messing up leather for a year now and i still don't know what i'm doing but,,, i sure do enjoy it and no one here seems to mind.
  22. Makes me want a bike !!!
  23. freak

    snake

Jimmy crapped korn and now i know why. That's very life like and i can see why you wife doesn't like it. Does she even let it in the house ? So how long did that take to carve and then to dye ?? Very freakin cool and i give it 3 thumbs up.
  24. Welcome !!!! Without even reading your post and just looking at the pictures I could tell. You maybe new to leatherworker.net but not to working with leather. Very impressive work. I love the color. Don't be shy post all you got, we love pictures.
  25. Nice work, very clean. Is the Primrose Red a All-n-One ? i know the Desert Tan is. The eco Range Tan dye is almost a perfect match to the Desert Tan All-n-One.
