  1. No fair ! TwinOaks, You did yours on the computer. **rimshot** I pretty sure i know how this is done but that by no means, means i can do it.
  2. WoW !!! No really WoW !!! I say it louder. Very nice work. All around beau ti full leather !
  3. The background is what most call a pebble or pebbler . I use the ones HideCrafter sell. I think it's part of their "pro series" tool. If i remember rite they where around $15 each. Some times you can catch them on sell for $10 or so. All the dye on this notebook are part of Tandy Leather Factory's "eco-flo" line. The red is "Scarlet" , which a nice bright red. Then i used the "tan" eco flo antique gel over everthing. Seal the lighter parts first, like the skull and barbwire. Thanks Tom.
  4. Having a hard time finding any time to do anything but work. Or so it feels these days. I ran about 18 inches short on black lace and i've been trying to find the time the last two weeks to get by TLF and get more. I've now decided to try something i've been thinking of for sometime now. Just haven't had the guts or time i guess to try it. But,,,, i found both of those today. Most people probably would not even notice but i think i'll move on and make more and relace it this way. It's fitting for the biomech theme.
  5. I think it looks great. Now what the heck is RTC ?? I have mucho respect for anyone who can do floral or Sheridan. It looks like it would take me 2 life times to do one carving. Can't wait to see what else you do here.
  6. That's a great idea and i think it looks great as well. I just might have to make one of those. The plug is a nice touch !!
  7. You're singin my song brotha !!! The only thing i'd change would be from you're hands to mine. Just as i would picture a biomech inlay. That just rocks !!
  8. Absolutely gorgeous !!!! Well done!! Probably the best thing you'll ever make. LOL !!! I kind of feel like i'm talking to myself here. LOL !!
  9. Nice, very nice. Did you hand stitch all that as well ?
  10. man that's freakin nice !! Boo tee full
  11. WOW !! Always enjoy seeing your work. I really like the colors you've used here. Nice and rich.
  12. Nice, very nice !!! How could i not just love it. Are you a lefty tom ?
  13. I would also put my duckies on what Randy posted. When i used the Super Shene over Fiebings antique it peeled of just as you are saying.
  14. I posted what i did in a big hurry, hurry fashion. sorry. No that picture is not in direct sun light . It's in a room that gets a lot of sun light in but no real direct sun light on the picture. I"m sure it would make a big difference. I do know that if i used some of the blue from that same bottle is will look more like a pale navy blue now. Not sure about the violet but i'm sure it would be the same. One thing i've noticed with most of the eco flo dye is once a bottle has been open , it's shelf life is limited. Some of the different colors of brown have changed a little as well. I or some one needs to dye something with at least 2 coats or one heavy one. Then seal it good and but that in the sun for a while. I have some coasters that i did in "range tan" and sealed, that saw some sun. The color got a little darker but much richer looking.
  15. Here's a complete project that was all eco flo dyes. Applied in a few coats and sealed , just like I would do using what ever dye. The Koi fish i did. My work folder for it "finished " was dated ; Monday, September 10, 2007 Just took the picture outside and took a picture of it ; Sunday, May 11, 2008
  16. I like to put a good hand full or 2 of scrap in a bag. Then stick it under or behind my truck seat. Some times when i pick up a hide i'll leave it in the truck for a few days.
  17. **slides across seat** Dddaaannnggggg !!!! That's freakin sharp man. Love seeing red frog as an inlay and it works great for the eyes. Love the colors and the two stitched pin stripping design. That lining really mates well with the rest of the wallet. You can ship it to freak eaux freakin want st. freakville, Tx 00001
  18. I love building stuff with me hands, prob one of the reasons i like leather work so much. I've twisted a bit of steel in my day which lead me to making fun toys. My very first mini. Made a jig and did it all, frame, tank , all. I call it practice cause when i find it, i'll get it and bob it me self ! Then i wanted a little some speed and SSS so i started my next one. Still not done, life put this one on hold. I think i'm about ready to finish it up now. Pretty much just got make a springer front end and brakes. I got a Barstool racer in the works also. Then when it rains me and my daughter like to go get muddy. Then we wash up and Jam for a while But i think i want to go drivin with Horsehairbraider. Cause that looks freak fun and cool !!! And i'm real good and pickin my nose at red lights, green lights, bank lines...well anywhere i guess. Just pick and flick...

    Dragon scales

I don't believe you. so go carve a dragon and then we'll see.... That looks pretty good and gives a great scale effect . I've been slowly drawing up another koi scene. I think i just might try that when i get ready to pound it into dead cow.
  20. Very nice and if she's a fan ( come on, who ain't rite ) she'll love it i'm sure. Will you be making a joker or a batman one for your son now ??
  21. great lookin seats man. Do you add any color or do you just hit it with antique and wipe it off , or what ? I really like the rich natural look you get. Which brings me to another Q: What are you using for a finish ? Dig the art work, as always !
  22. Tom , **while popping the top of a cold one** now that's what i'm talkin bout. **slide the frosty cold one to Tom** Great lookin ink man. Is that you design or what ??
  23. WOW !!!! Tom that's on heck of a nice case man. I'de be afraid to use it so nice. I like everything about it. How long did that take to make ?? Again WOW !! Well done.
  24. Thank you all very ,very much. Mucho appreciate it ! This is going to be a full size notebook. Just like the others i've done just using a full size pad. I'll be coloring it pretty much just like did the biomech notebook ( first picture ). LOL, you gonna be alright ? i'll seal the skull before dye, i think it will stick out some then. Although i do like the camo affect it's getting now. hmmmmm... Yeah i got lucky on the curling part, whew close one. You know you can't just tell us about the tatt and not provide pictures. What wrong with ya ?! Got home today and realized i needed to get more sheep, bahahah. ran and got me some more.Just oiled her up and i'll add some color tomorrow nite once she's soaked it all in. I carved all the barbwire. I think it's bigger then what it looks in the picture. Bigger = easier LOL !! I thought about adding some barbs on the stretched parts of the design like Tina does. BUt, i didn't want to steal her design. Nor was i sure i wanted to tool that many barbs. LOL !!!
