Moved your post to saddle construction. It helps get you answers if you do a little research to find the various forums that are applicable to your question. People don't know what a ground seat is unless they have worked with saddles or have an interest in someday building a saddle.

I think I recall a post by @CowboyBob about straightening a bent shaft. You can search for it or maybe he will reply here with the info.

There are lots of posts about the Tippmann Boss. Search them out. From what I recall, most members that have or had them prefer the cast iron version. These machines take a lot of arm/shoulder power. Not good for medical reasons if you have any problems with arm, shoulder and neck. And of course age reduces the muscular strength you will need. Every stitch requires a fairly long stroke. Many of the problems with the Boss are due to not making the full stroke. I know I wouldn't be able to operate these due to neck and shoulder issues.

Many jurisdictions (counties, states, provinces, etc.) have brand books that list the registered brands. Some of these books are available on the web and go back many years. I have found and identified registered brands for my parents, grand parents, and other relatives and friends. I guess it depends on where you live and what shipping costs are.

This is a leather conditioner rather than a sealer. Need a good water based or lacquer based finish. Too thick an application will crack. Most finishes will not stick to wax, grease, oil based treatments.

@1hp Please avoid use of webp files. Non-standard, don't show picture automatically. Many members will not download strange files they have no idea if they are safe or not. WEBP files are something google has come up with.

Even the lacquers made for finishing leather crack when applied too thick. Tandy Neatlac was one of them.
