I would recommend that all queries go through this site, whether as posts, or via the message option. Using email puts your email address out there for all the spam bots to pickup and start harassing you. If you prefer, we can completely remove your email address from your post. There are routines that can quickly rebuild your email address, even though I obfuscated your address.

There are a number of suggestions if you care to search for them. Cornstarch, kitty litter, floor dry, etc. Bury the article in one of these. Keep stirring it around every few hours or days until it has absorbed how ever much it can. With all these suggestions, I haven't seen any confirmations from those that asked as to whether it works or not.

Does this exclude a knife? These are all tools that we use. We don't stuff a hide into a machine and have a belt come out the other end. Some people have lots of tools that help speed up the process. Others have a minimal set of tools. Does it matter if I use a paint brush or an airbrush? They can produce practically identical products. If I call my work area a studio, does that move me into a different class than my basement or garage workshop? If I use a sewing machine versus manual needle and thread, it is hand sewn? If I guide the belt or what ever through the sewing machine, following the stitch line, or I saddle stitch, it is hand sewn? This example will get a lot of feedback. Which side of the bench do you sit on?

I moved it to saddle construction. Not really an accessory item in my opinion even though there are lots of stirrup and stirrup leather designs. @Gaitinggrl77 Keeping you in the loop so you know where your post has gone. Some experienced saddle makers should be along soon.

Legal is 8.5 x 14". 11 x 17" is Tabloid or Ledger. Commercial scanners like at Staples or UPS stores handle 11 x 17. Hard to find others for larger pages, but there are some that will do it.

Sewing machine stitches slanted-CB4500
Northmount replied to Crest's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
This is a machine type question so I moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. Perhaps you could add some more information. What needle type and size are you using? What thread size and type? A picture would help visualize what you are describing. The machine guys crystal balls haven't been working for several years, so they really need your help by providing adequate information. -
This is a machine type question, so I have moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines.

Appears not to have any interest in following up. Hasn't been back to the site since he posted. @Moscho I am locking and archiving this post.

Split this batch of posts off of Clicker Dies, No Clicker Press? as these posts are about making dies.

Hi Moscho. I moved your post to the Marketplace > Items For Sale > Machinery -- Sewing and Stitching > Used > Tippman Hand stitcher Marketplace You need to fill in a lot of details. Please refer to the marketplace rules here https://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/70-announcements/ Pictures would be great, must state a price in US$, etc. Please update your listing by replying to my post ASAP, else I will have to hide this thread.

T M Lumly Saddle?
Northmount replied to corinowalk's topic in Saddle Identification, Restoration & Repair
Did you realize that thread has no activity for 13 years. The OP (original poster) hasn't been on the site since Feb 2012. I'll tag the member to see if they are still active/alive/connected/interested. @corinowalk long time since you've been around. You have some interest in your saddle from 13 years ago. -

You need to quote part of the post, or tag the user so he gets a notification. @szeregowy You have some one interested in your machine. To tag a user, type the @ symbol followed by the username, then pick it from the popup box.

spring flowers and good food

Many burners work at about 1 psi or less. I did work on a potato granule (instant smashed potatoes) dryer that operated at 50 psi burner supply pressure on a 2" pipe. Huge fan and dryer/separator. It sent the granules up a chute to the next level. Had to wear hearing protection around it. You could walk around in the dryer (when shut down). Never saw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego though. -
@Redhorse64 Being a moderator on this site is all volunteer work, no pay, just the satisfaction of being able to help others. Too much crap really shifts how we feel about continuing to support and help others.

Since I had no knowledge of what instruction manual you had, I offered you what I found. If you don't like it, that is your problem, not mine. I'm not a sewing machine specialist and was trying to give you a leg up until someone else could come along with more help than I can provide. Members of this site need to follow some fairly standard practices and etiquette that are common across many user forums. If you want the support and help from members of any forum, you need to get people on your side, not blow off steam and post in threads that don't apply directly to your machine. If you want to leave, that is just fine. However, you can not delete posts, nor can you edit posts after the edit window time has closed. As you replied to me, I assume sarcastically, I truly hope you have a better day today. I expected better from one Albertan to another, but so be it.

Thinking of making my own tack (questions)
Northmount replied to RestlessHands's topic in Saddle and Tack Accessory Items
I moved your post to Saddle and Tack Accessory Items. There are other related sub-forums here as well. Have a look through them and you may find some of the answers that you are looking for. Did you know that you can edit your posts? The time window for editing is about 2 hours. Look for the 3 dots at the top right of a post, pick it, then pick edit. This way, you can add info, fix typos, correct statements, etc.- 2 replies
