  1. Freak, this is sooooo well done! I'm one too who doesn't really like skulls, but these are exquisitely done. Great job!
  2. Not cool for the stabbed finger, but a way cool idea and well done! Love it!
  3. Just figured out how to put a link in that section of my profile. I can be so slow sometimes Thanks for putting the list together, rdb. I'm bookmarking this thread for future reference.
  4. Neat tutorial, Beaver! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Learned a few things with this and I sure am glad about it because it opens up even more possibilities. It's just plain amazing what one can do with leather. Where do you get the mesh? Fabric store?
  5. Just getting started with leather? Ok, tell us, how long ago did you start? Kidding aside, you did a really good job with this purse. Looking forward to seeing more of your work and welcome to the forum!
  6. Don't know how thin you need them to be, but Lee Valley Tools has some. I've ordered from them a few times and their service is excellent. Here's a link to the ones which might fit your project: http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&p=32065&cat=1,42363,42348&ap=1' rel="external nofollow"> Rare-Earth Circular Magnets The company is in Canada but they ship to the US. Hope that helps!

Haven't had the chance yet. I need to order some dyes and I'm a little short on money right now. As soon as I can afford them though, you bet I'll be trying it and if I get anything decent, I'll post on the forum

WOW, WOW, WOW! Totally AWESOME, Tom! Geez, I'm at a loss for words. Super great job!!!
  9. I like the way you've done the color. Makes the tooling stand out, almost makes it look on fire. Great job!
  10. I really enjoyed participating in the first round and I'm looking forward to participating again. However, I'm pretty swamp these days with my day job and my move in two months (geez, time flies!) so I'll have to skip this time and probably the next one too. I'll keep an eye on all of you though and see what gets sent around. Everybody's so amazing with their ideas and work
  11. Cool idea, Spider! It rocks! Love how you think outside of the box. Yup, I agree with Tony, a faint trace of red to show blood seeping through.
  12. I agree indeed. They look real cool and from what I see on the straps, I think the olive oil is going to give them a really nice color. Good work, Jordan!
  13. Man, is your tooling great! Totally awesome!!! I agree with everybody else, no black, at least not on the whole thing. No way. You've got to let the tooling show in all its glory.
  14. Sorry I can't help with the sewing machine, but I just have to comment on the bag itself. The tooling is so exquisite! Awesome job!
  15. Started writing a reply as to what you could do and just as I was going to post it, I saw your next message. Had the same idea you did! Works very well, Beaver. Great idea!
  16. Wow! Extremely beautiful. I love it! Geez, girl, you're making me want to use a purse again! What kind of dye/paint did you use to color it?
  17. Tina, this looks great in my opinion. What don't you like about the lining? If it's the ripples (is that the right word?) on it, I say leave them there because they're adding a nice touch and complement the old look of the outside.
  18. Thanks for the instructions, roo. Another great looking mask! I kind of had an idea of how to make these, but now I really know. I totally agree with Ken and Clay, we all need more time so we can try all these neat things!
  19. Spider, your work is so well done that I'm starting to like them skulls! I don't use a purse and I'm not too much for flowery stuff apart from Sheridan, but those flowers sure are beautifully done. You're a talented and versatile man, that's for sure. Great job on all of them!
  20. Neat work, Spider! Love the wood effect.
  21. I've been following your progress on these. Nice work! Had always wondered how they were made. Now I know!
  22. I would try a map store. They would probably have what you're looking for. It's shaped like a pen and has a small wheel at one end. Don't know if the resolution would be fine enough for your purpose, but I think it's worth looking into it.
  23. Very nice! I like the idea of the tooled applique on the furry part.
  24. Very nice covers indeed! I'm curious too about the stamps you use.
