This is what i did..... dye the belt fiebings oil die....only the background and very close to the letters. i use Angelus Acrylic paint. Paint the letters...1 coat...let dry. add second coat. apply supersheen to all surface.let dry apply a second coat of supersheen.let dry apply a third coat and let dry........... NOW APPLY THE WHITE WITH A SMALL PAINT BRUSH AND WIPE OFF WITH A DAMP SMOOTH PAPER TOWELL. THEN WIPE AGAIN.......... THEN GO ON TO ALL THE OTHER LETTERS.... iDO BELEIVE THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU..........."PHOTOS ARE RESQUESTED OF YOUR WORK"

it looks similar to a lot of holsters......there is no reason that you could not make one like that yourself and be very happy with the finished product. -
I REALLY DONT THINK YOU WILL NEED IT. TRY IT... IT WOULD NOT HURT. THE ONLY TIME I USE THREAD LUB IS ON SKIRTING LEATHER WITH 277 AND UP THREAD.

Not to be a smart a$#...But the armed forces have gone to Nylon, why, because it will last longer than Leather. One can take all the care they want to but Leather items will weare out or deteroiate..........

Finished 3 more knife sheaths for a customer here in Memphis. ( Ray if i posted on Twitter would i be much more Busy) I like doing the Basket Weave.

Most of the time i do not thin the dye. if i want a light shade of the color i will thin. look under the heading of Knife sheaths. thoes were sprayed.

Hancocks Fabrics in Memphis has the Line 24 dot snaps.or check out the larger fabric shops in your area. they are not quite as strong as the Tandy ones, and they mount to thinner materials...

Draggrim.... now that you have found the Good Stuff ,try the Chocolate Oil Dye. a dark brown no red cast to it. -
