  1. TO ADD what savvy said, use #277 nylon thread or 6 cord linnin or flax thread this will give you the more pronunced angle you are looking for.

  12. Jordan, Buy the Al Stolhman Book there is more than holster how to in it. The Ghormley patters will teach you to make pre 1890 Western holsters. The Stolhman book has patterns for Relvolers and there is a 1911 auto pattern. With the information given you can adapt the patterns for modern handguns all said that book was copyrighted in 1962. and as you know a lot of changes in firearms has happened...

  16. Blake , i have not did this but it has been done, in the Pet Stores there are some Raw hide chew toys that when soaked in water will soften up enough to do what you need to do.
  17. Bryan have you talked to wickett & craig ? they will split their hides, wheather they will split your is questioable.... its kinda bad working on someones elses merchandice.. only sugestion i have, Good luck.

  22. HAVE YOU THOUGHT about mounting a screw into a pc of metal and use it to stamp with.

ED............imho. i have been told that the 346 thread on top or bobbin is designed to be used in a Needle & Awl machine. i have tried it in my Sewmo and it pushes it to the limit with veg tanned leather thicker than 9 oz. I will use 277 & 207 have no problems... then again i have no problem with sewing Latigo or thick chrome tanned leather with 346 thread.
  24. I must consider my self lucky to be the owner of 125 pcs of Craftools Pre 1970..... Yacklady the Mcmillan tools on e-bay are one arm and two legs. i have several of them , and they are a quality product. no i did not get them from e-bay, got them from and old Hippie...
  25. HEY REGIS...277 works great for me on my Sewmo and in the Bobbin if i need it.most of the time 277-top 207-bottom
