  5. Jordan, you have came a long way, Your holsters are looking GREAT.
  6. Rayban the W&C is a God send..just use it like you would any Veg tan leather, apply a light coat fo Neetsfoot oil and apply the final finish.
  7. HEY ED.. the edges are finished with brown edge coat and burnished with the felt burnishing wheel

  10. Warren thank you... Tracy yes it was chestnut ,finished with leather balm.. the sheaths had a very mellow shene to it.
  11. Barra. it was cut with a Band saw that had a 1/2" blade. the wider the blade the more uniform the cut will be.
  12. RSQ3.... The seat is covered with a pc of sheepskin, just a little padding. and the History of the wood. The wood came from a very old house that was being torn down to make way for modern improvments here in Memphis, At that time the house was 125 yeard old. a friend of mine bought the house for the wood in it. The wood is Cypress and is" 5 quarters thick" and the the width of the board i got was 18" ..... the jaws or clamp was a 4x4 pc of red oak he gave me..
  13. New Barge cement. I shook mine very well, still kinda thick added some thinner to it On the knife sheaths i just made the new Barge stuck like to old did. I did notice the new is not as strong smelling as the old.

  15. finished these up and sent them off this week, hope you like them This is the first time for me to use the W & C pre dyed leather and thinned from them, I like it. And yes i will be using more of it. this is Chestnut color finished with Leather Balm..

  18. IF IT IS"SHARP" AND IT FITS YOUR HAND, AND YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH IT USE IT..
  19. that is a fine looking stiching horse. the only negitive comment i will make is..............on mine i used a 2'' wide nylon strap rather than leather. think about it.

  21. Roo, you said to burn them to a disk....this Computer , has not the capaibility of that , is there an external device for that ? OR is the best way to go the external hard drive ?

OK i am running win 2000 office, it works for me. the computer that i have is 4 years old , not nothing to speak of. i only have 6 gb of disk space and i am getting messages that my disk space is full. Now would an external hard drive, that would be used to store my photos solve the problem of disk space ?
  23. KRAINS.........for what you are doing, save youre self a lot of $$$$. go to a glass company and have a pc of Plexiglass cut to the size you need for your template 1/4" thick will be o.k. IMHO.
  24. Rayban, as long as the holes are straight and even, one will do what one has to do........ sometimes I will use a razor knife to cut leather..
  25. PAUL ....... That is what i call a SHEATH ! ? PAUL what type of sewing machine do you use ? also the small pc of leather that is sewn on the top of the sheath, the type of machine used, thread and needle size? a courious mind wants to know..... Thank you.
