  3. Also something to take a close look at. the posts on the tops and bottoms might not be the right length that you are using for the thickness of leather .

  6. Holy Cow, i was in a Large Department store with my wife this A M , looking thru the shoe dept. there was a lg display of "COACH " Sandals, next time any of you are out take a good look at how Womens shoes are made. thoes were the simplest made sandals.........$148.00 .........
  7. YES SEW FIRST............SEVERAL OF THE RESTS.............. find out the needle size..... then make sure that larger needle sizes can be got for that machine.

  9. Thanks for askng , 80 grit sanding on the belt sander then 150 grit sanding. then edges are dyed with chocolate dye then to the drill press with a thick Felt Burnishing wheel after the edges are wet. final coat is satin sheen.
  10. Kevin she is gonna love it.... sometime less is better. that Bound Edge and Red stiching really sets is off.
  11. Jordan you have it going your way... what type of soles will you put on them.. Goodyear - Michilin or Firestone ................ seriously they look great. at your local shoe shop you could buy Creep Soles that you could glue with Barge or Masters Cement . that would make some fine sandals..
  12. particle get the consew 225.... accept the larger table, you will get accustom to the speed over a period of time. or you can change the belt pulley on the motor to slow it down a little. the 225 with leather needle and 138 size thread will do you well. that is a good price for the machine. i have one and i will not part with it....

  17. Anyone Know For Sure when "Copper Rivets with the Burr "were first introduced to Harness or used in Leather work. I do know it was used during the War Between the States.

  20. Those are professional made Plates. I am the one that does the lacing. it is app. 7 1/2 hrs of 1/8" lace. p s that is a copy of the Hulk Hogan belt Jan 13 1984.

  22. THIS WILL GET YOU STARTED.... wet the leather pcs that you need to mold.. put the gun in a plastic bag , lay the gun on the back pc, then mold the other pc to th gun, you'll get it....
  23. if you render the Bear Fat it will no go rancid.... then mix the beeswax with the bear tallow... mix more bear than bees wax. and when you put it on yhe Lock Cover use the flesh side of the leather.
  24. Tom when you get that fly rod case finished.........that design on the right would look great on a Guitar strap.. with some changes. Get Back To Par and show us your Good Items..
