    The bottom of the seat kinda looks like a snake skin at first. Neat.

    You can add a stiffener inside, or perhaps it can be boiled like this Wiki link to boiled leather (there are better link to cuir bouili but I do not have them handy) Good luck.

    For those of you who may be inclined to dig in and research this topic, I came across an old book on archive.org called "The application of oils and grease to leather" from 1919 Application of OIls & Grease . If you do, please report back a summary of findings .

    I was looking for one too so ended up making a custom one that was far too expensive. What I realized is that if you buy the wolf stamp and grind off the claws it would probably make a decent paw print...

    Tandy's prices are OK if you can get them on sale - they have their ad online. A few art stores carry Tandy stuff too and sometimes you can get a better deal. Joann's or Micheal's have Tandy stuff.

    I just saw this post so I may be a little late now if you are done with the design. But, I cam across these straps on etsy and thought they would be great for a girls journal or bag. Here is the link Gina purse frame - I dont know the maker just came across the image and liked it. EDIT I Think I got the images now...

    Very nice design. It looks like the sun rising out of the holster.

    Looks good! You can also skive the backside to make the area thinner so your dots fit better, if you are still have any issues.
