  1. Here is the same tool used to stich the sole on a boot...nice close up. It is just one stitch played over and over , but still mesmerizing
  2. I have a Nakajima 341 in good condition, never abused and it runs smother than the Cobra class 26 or the Techsew 2750 i had a chance to play with . I would go with the Juki even at $1600
  3. They sell Ritza thread...it seems that most of leather workers like it
  4. Try scissors ... it's the only way those stains will come off
  5. Mississauga location has 8-9 colors probably in stock . Give them a call for stock availability . Tandy carry Leather Machine Co (Cobra) thread
  6. These are great irons especially in this size ... sold my set last year and still regret it . A little bit out of my price range now. Good luck with the sale
  7. All those needles are round point. I was hoping to retire the the old 341 and just use the 4500 with smaller needles with an "S" or "LR " point .
  8. Who sells #19 needles for the CB4500 ? Can't find them anywhere. I need them with an "S" or LR point Thanks
  9. These are the same chisels as Springfield's ... without the brand but the same "great" quality ...next day delivery too. Or just $10 here if you are willing to wait more that 6 weeks
  10. Flat Sienna is what you should have bought to make wallets
  11. Send Tandy an email or even call them ..i am sure one of the stores or even the warehouse has a spare one
  12. I had those ring custom made locally in a machine shop. Most of the dogs i made collars were over 100lb and the ring held just fine . That being said , they are not meant to be used as an agitation collar , bite work and so on .
  13. I made collars in the past using these lions I bought from the hardware store...they are drawer pulls...some better quality then others . I am not a big fan of them as they are "kitschy" in my opinion ..but who am I to argue with the customer. The round spots are just upholstery tacks from Tandy Here are some of them
  14. The lions can be found at any larger hardware stores...just do a search for "lion heads pulls"...most of them are screw-back
  15. Sorry , I was a bit vague. Call your local Tandy store. I assume since the Montreal location is closed , Markham or Mississauga location is who you want to call for any alcohol based dies , finishes or contact cements.
  16. Call your local store for Fiebing's dies (pro or regular) and order them over the phone . I am also sure they might be able to answer some of your questions too
  17. I've been making dog collars for a long time...this is an interesting design that I've never seen before
  18. When you say padding , is that some kind of foam inside your soft leather ? I am only using 3-4 oz soft leather for my "padding" nothing stuffed inside ...it is more for aesthetics . If needed , the softer rolled edges are more than enough protection in my opinion
  19. I think the padding is way to thick. With or without the top strap attached , a padding that thick will wrinkle regardless , when bent into a circle . If I am making a collar using two ply , I am always gluing them together around a form. My padding is not nearly as thick of yours and I still get a bit of wrinkles . I am using different size PVC pipes as forms ... helps me with collar sizing too .
  20. Did you called your local Tandy? The website shows "out of stock" but some stores might actually have it
  21. My dog collar cost me well over $10000 so far ... welcome to the club. You do nice work !
