  1. The lace is 6mm wide by i mm thick,I robbed it from a plaited leather belt I picked up in a charity store.
  2. That seat would be best done with a heavy duty marine upholstery vinyl..
  3. if you are lacing the bags then kangaroo is the best lace you can use.
  4. This is the latest seat I made, steel pan welded in bolts done myself. laced with 6mm whiskey tan lace.cowhide leather embossed with "Elephant" opinions please,

  6. Hi sorry took so long to reply,will try to put up more pics,,"fingers crossed" here we go pics of it on the bike. I hope these are of use to you. Would just like to add the back of the bag is rienforced with a hard plastic panel and is bolted through to sissy bar. JJ.

  9. Bat Shadow Leathers Made this shaped sissybar bag for a customer in Ireland who found me through my website, black leather with braided seams and edges all round, shaped to replace sissybar pad and pillion.
  10. YeaH, I have to build some of my stuff from the ground up,making my own patterns etc for bags n such,and I sometimes make my own steel pans for the bobber seats I do, BUT it is so much more satisfying when the jobs done and on the bike.

  14. I re covered the seats for a Honda Shadow with leather rather than vinyl at customers request and after making the cover I stapled back on in same manner as the vinyl came off. that seats been done 6 months now and is used daily and up to press he has had no problems at all with it.
  15. trim the edges n stitch it to a leather vest or such like as a patch. that is cool.

Hi Bill, yeah never was much good with a camera,though the customer supplied the 4 pics in 1st post. any how,the belt,its 1.1/2 inch down to 1 inch,this is made for a 32 inch waist so its quite short I have put 5 dips and 4 conchos in the belt, I made a template shaped like a dog bone,IE concho either end dip in middle I made this 5 inches from centre to centre,hope this is of help to you, and thanks for your compliments, Cheers JJ.
