  1. What a project to get started back up with! I like it. One of these days i will have to try one.
  2. Looks like good old talcum powder. Shoe makers use it a lot. Not sure why the glove maker is using it though
  3. Have not used it before but I've read use just neutral shoe polish.
  4. Great work as always! Love your tooling.
  5. I use them all of the time both on-line and going to their store. They have always given me great customer service in store and on-line. When I order online and need the leather to meet certain standards, I call them when I make the order. I have always been treated with respect, but I also treat them with respect even when they make a mistake.. Because I'm sure not perfect!!
  6. Not sure of your direction of travel. Close to Bartlesville,OK is Woolaroc ranch. Has a very large collection of Colt firearms and native american art.
  7. Thank you so much . That is very cool!!
  8. I think it would be a good start. I would say you would want a different awl though. This is just the basics though and you will find as you progress in the craft you will want better tools.
  9. Chunky, but awesome work. Beautiful craftsmanship as always.
  10. sorry realized i didnt make myself clear. Because stain is waterbased you are able to use with a resist. Oil dyes will penetrate the resist versus being repeled like a waterbased dye. Hope this helps.
  11. Benlilly, the stain is waterbased so it doesn't have the penetration that the other dyes do.
  12. Very nice job! I would only use the tan kote on the veg tan.
