    I would also check needle. If you put on one that you previously used, it might have a nick on it and shreddin thread.

    Latigo and bridle have a clean finished look. Inner part of some of our leashes are done with veg tan. Plain veg tan will work, just doesn't look as nice.

    1 thing is to learn the weight(oz.) you wish to work with. The ones you ordered online should say the weight of them. If too thin? Get a higher oz. Hope that helps and starts the ball rollin for others to input. Malik

    Thanks for the replies everyone! Andrew...they cost about $3000 and up depending what model you get. I lucked out and acquired mine just under a grand.

    Please post up pics if available and any extra info about it that you like. I appreciate all the info i've learned untill wee-hours of the morning from this site. 1: Juki DSU-145 equipped with a Reliable servo motor. I purchased it from someone that use to make handbags. It can sew most of the collars we make when we use 1/8" padding inside, not so well when I use 1/4" padding. I also use this machine to do all of the letters to collars/leashes. 2: Adler 867 M-type temporary equipped with a Family servo motor, and adjustable guide. This does our collars with 1/4" padding with NO problems. It has a 20mm pressor foot lift. I'm really satified with this machine. Next...I would like to own a Patcher(29K) and a 441. Thanks in advance for anyone that shares their equipment! Malik

    Thanks Mijo! Thanks H Factor! Thanks! It's a new style of internal stitching technique. J/k....I decided not to stitch the center section, because I didn't want to have a crooked stitch line when needle goes thru some of the hard parts of skin. So, I just glued it to keep for my dog as a trial test to see if it would hold up. So far, so good! I did double stitch sections on each side. Thanks Leather Legion!

    One set I made for my crew and one for a good friend on mine who is one of the creators of the Shorty Bull. One leash has the tail attached...the other just has accents. Malik

    Just a tip....which is sometimes the problem for me. If you feel any sharp edges around tip of needle besides the point. Keep a piece of sandpaper around to smooth it out. Sometimes the dremel is closer and I use that. Malik

    It's definitely from the water, then getting stretched on the walk home. Other option to 9/10oz if he's to tuff for 6oz. Sew 2-6oz together. What kind of dog is it or size?

    I have a Adler 867 thats smooth as silk. I lucked out and bought a used one at an AWESOME price. Has a foot lift height of 20mm, which is perfect for collars I make. Good luck on your hunt!

    The belly is soft. The closer you get to the center of back...is where it gets harder. But if you can cut a wide enough section of the back for what your making, it can be sewn thru. I use barge cement glue, which works fine.

    Hey Gregg...I called a couple of weeks ago about the generic left toe foot for this machine. But the lady say you were away until the following week. I believe the part number is 0067-220713. Needed to know price. Thanks for response. Also can you tell me which feed dog would be best for me? Malik
