  3. Thanks, tex 80 ? I am new to sewing,is that what I ask for at JoAnn store? I have bonded nylon 92 and I picked up some small spools of upholstery thread 300mm can they be used to sew jeans?
  4. Since I have a Consew 206 RB 5, thought I try to hem my jeans. Can anyone recommend what size thread and needle works best?
  5. I bought my first airbrush recently, it does a great job applying dye and resolene. Cheap and easy to use too.

  8. I wished resolene didn,t have the unnatural high gloss plastic like sheen. Is there a flat, satin resolean type product?

  15. Thanks Wiz, Yes brand new from Toledo,I've had it 3 weeks, keeping the speed knob@ 1/2. I've learned to use the hand wheel to give a kick start on thicker leather, I guess I need more practice finding the sweet spot with my foot control, have been keeping it oiled, the tiny holes inside face plate ? I better look for them.
  16. I got my first machine recently, consew 206 rb 5 with a sew pro 500 GR. Im Having trouble finding smooth control from stop to slow, it likes to jump to fast. being new to sewing, I really prefer Slow stitching. Would the Family Sew 3/4 hp servo motor give me the control im looking for?

  18. on the Consew 206rb5, should the needle be in or out of the leather when engaging reverse?
  19. "Stitch and Turn when the needle is 1/3 way up" ? is the needle point still in the leather?
