  1. Very nicely done! How did you make the strap to hang it on your belt? Gary
  2. Brian, I shoot sporting clays, skeet and trap and I use a small shell box holder for one box of loaded shells and just use the larger pouch like this for empties. I wouldn’t want to carry 75 loaded shells in the pouch - it would tilt me over to one side! LOL! Gary
  3. I recently received a dark brown side of W&C bridle and I agree it is beautiful leather. It also carves and stamps nicely. Those sides are nice size! Gary
  4. Thanks for the link! I think I saw this manual somewhere on the internet and think my machine did not look the same inside, but I am probably mistaken. I guess for $4 I have nothing to lose! Gary
  5. Nice looking bag and carving! What type leather did you use? Gary
  6. Ron - just sent you an email Gary
  7. LOL! I’m Polish - we are just as tight with a dollar as the Scots! You are right about the manual, but I have gone over the entire machine and have it running great, except for the reverse stitch length. If I cannot find the adjustment procedure I guess I will have to break down and order the manual. My concern is that they will order a manual and what will come in is a manual for the newer 206RB-5, which will not help me. Gary
  8. If you still have them, I would like the Glock 43 and 1911 without rail. Thanks! Gary
  9. Does anyone have adjustment procedure for reverse stitch length for a Consew 206RB-4. I have looked everywhere on the internet and the only information I have found is for the 206RB-5 and the newer model has different parts than the 206RB-4. I called Consew tech support and they were clueless on how to adjust the older model. Went to to a local sewing machine shop and they said they could order me a tech manual for $40, but I hate to spend $40 for one adjustment procedure. I hope that someone out there has done this adjustment on the -4 modeland can provide some direction! Thanks! Gary
  10. The CE Mark is actually the European equivalent of UL in the USA. Means the product complies with CE standards. Gary
  11. I like the color in the sheath in the second photo! What type dye did you use? Gary
  12. Looks very nice! Only comment is that the basketweave stamping is usually stamped on a diagonal to the borders - looks more pleasing to most folks, but everyone has personal preference. What does the back look like and what type leather and thread did you use? Good job. Gary
  13. It would be helpful if you provided more details including needle size you are using with top thread and thickness of the leather you are trying to sew. A few pictures of the thread path that also show how the needle is installed, and what exactly do you mean when you say the needle hit the case? Did you cycle the machine manually with the hand wheel to watch the operation? You may be trying to sew leather that is too thick with needle and thread that are too small, possibly causing the needle to bend. Gary
  14. William, you can buy a Goldstar press for around $70 to set rivets, grommets and snaps - probably less than it will cost to have a machine shop do all the modifications you want. I do like using the arbor press for stamping. Gary
  15. You can also leave the starting and ending tails long and saddle stitch the ends of the first and last 3 holes.... Gary
  16. Needle scarf must be to the right when needle is installed. You should have a diagram in your manual that shows this. Long groove on the left side. Gary
  17. Brian, you are one clever guy! I always enjoy reading about/watching the ingenious methods you use to work leather! Gary
  18. Please post before and after photos and let us know how you like the products! Gary
  19. I use it after I apply Resolene - usually two coats buffed in between coats. Gary
  20. I like it! Just for curiosity sake, how many hours do you estimate you have in this project? Gary
  21. Now I see why it is so wide! Never seen a skillet like that before - what are the little cups designed to do? Gary looked up Ebelskiver and see it is some kind of pancake - looks interesting!
  22. Welcome Stephen and nice job on the wallet! Gary
  23. Really nice stamping, stitching and finish! Looks kind of wide to me though - like it would be hard to pick up a full, heavy cast iron skillet because you can’t wrap your hand around the handle easily. Do you think a softer handle material would allow you to better grip and control the pan? Gary
