I've got a 441 and a short arm clone and used bunch of feet, and plates from where ever. Where is it that you adjust the presses for height? I've got a "tufting" foot I use with a raised throat plate, but never knew how to adjust the height for the paddle foot! Pictures would be great! -Andrew

Juki Lu-1508N-Lthr Vs Adler 467-Lthr
awharness replied to venator's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I went down this road, compared and contrasted both models. Nick-O has both machines as well as his house brand of the 1508. I went with the Adler, phenomenal machine. Nick is one hell of a guy, bought several machines from him! The rebuilt Adler on new stand, motor, speed reducer and all the right feet, feed dogs and set up! I wan to say around $1,100. He can also convert ove frm 135 needle system to the 190 if preferred! It runs 207, I stick to a 138 with mine! -
Stitching Horse. Does Anyone Still Make And Sell These?
awharness replied to johnggrg's topic in Leather Tools
There was some guy that makes a really really nice one, I had his info, but they were reall expensive. I have the weaver one, but the jaws are jus ok, Sheridan has a "screw to your bench" stitching pony that I use all the time and love! Perfect for quick repairs! -
Hey Henry, I just found the last night, what is the shipping to the US on the embossing plates?

Hey I have a Juki 441, that is set up on a stand up stand, which i hate. I need to get a new motor for it, and was looking into the efka servo motors from what I can find is 1000w. Does anyone use this motor on a 441? do they need a speed reducer? what features do you use? NPS, AFL? I was thinking about trying it with the stand up foot controls that they offer on my currents stand. I could use it with a stool with differnt controls! Ive been using gear reducer servo's from Sewpro which he cannot get anymore. I want to just set the damn thing up, and be confident that I have the best set up avalible! Input? Feed back? Ideas? -Andrew

Hey Ian I have a hand crank splitter brand new all bolted up to my cut table. It's not a weaver but quality made in the USA. I have all the spacers and blades, never used it! Would consider selling it! And I'm south of Keene nh on rt 10. I'd consider selling it. -Andrew

I was just in there early November and Jackie was telling me that they were anxious about the new machine, but I the same token nervous of the discontinuation of the 205! They have quiet a set up! I am happy with the 441s that I have, but now that theyre not making them going forward, I have the urge for a 205! And I've always wanted a Randall!!!

Hey I was wondering if you still had this machine for sale?
-
I've covered bits in leather, made leather over check bits, and then I've made leather bits for starting and stall bitting. My only concern is the liability of the bit breaking (they get chewed up) I usually use a veg tanned skirting leather
