  1. Knipex nail nippers! You get them from the farrier supplies store! They hammer through the #9 like nothing!
  2. I've got a Barry king awl with a Douglas blade, both very nice! Mostly I use a cheap Dixon awl that has the blade hammered in, or a Blanchard awl that's reall small in an old peg awl haft! I do want to try one of those little skinny I es that bear man makes though!
  3. Totally agree with Bruce! Be realistic on your product cost, and do yourself and the industry a favor... Don't go too cheap just to get the bid! Anyone can play the price game, and undercut! But I think we can all attest, for quality people will pay!
  4. I shipped one from the US to the UK and the post office lady told me DON'T put knife! So we decided "leather working tool" was a better description and it worked!
  5. Hey Tim I'd like to check out the spots if you want to mail it to me that would be awesome 14 north grove st Swanzey nh 03446
  6. Any pictures of the machine Ed? Heard good things about them, but never used one!
  7. Hey Tim, do you sell those spots that look like chain link? I know some harness makers use them for brow bands...
  8. The specs are the exact same as the classic, only thing different are the presser feet and some bushings and minor tweaks from what tony luberto told me. I run juki 441's and knock offs in my shop, so this beauty just sits!
  9. I shipped one, I want to say it ended up being more expensive because it went over 70lbs, but you can separate it into 2-3 boxes and save some money
  10. Marlo, I have an ase #9 for sale , which is virtually the same machine,
  11. That's gotta be tony luberto, same email and address.
  12. Was it the lubertos cub?? Tony came out with that machine awhile ago, talked to him this summer and he was getting ready to rerelease it!
  13. I use Blanchard, have seen the dixons, but never used them! I'm very happy with the blanchards!
  14. Sheridan leather sells one that I use for when I'm on the road, works great! I believe they're a sponsor at te top of the page as well!
  15. That looks amazing! I could post pictures of a few stands I made... But, they're not even close to that! Now I want one! Taking orders?? Ha!
  16. I still have this machine avalible! I'll sell just the head for $1,600 and you can hand crank it, or the machine and table and motor for $1850... I will be going from NH to upstate ny, ny to Howe/shipshawanna ind then down to ky next week... Might have to meet me on the road. Going to be hauling an 8 horse trailer... Let me know! Good deal considering its delivered!!! I will also accept cash or credit card, for credit cards please be aware I will charge a 3% fee to offset the credit card companies fees! Let me know ASAP if you're interested! (603)547-0778 Andrew
  17. Let me get some pics, don't have any hatchet shaped ones I know that!
  18. I have the dies, what size? I have some square draft, and some larger horse, ones, some are dealer than others
  19. What size and shape are you looking for? I have some extras
  20. I buy Clayton's from booth and company in peabody, I believe they're the only supplier that stocks English bridle in the us at the moment! Ken's a great guy, full line of Dixon tools as well
  21. That Adler looks like a step in the right direction for a shop that's big enough to need some automation, but small enough to have to keep the machine versatile! I would love to check one of these out!
  22. Booth and Company in peabody Mass has something very similar! Tell Ken I sent you! -Andrew awharness.com
  23. I have an ase #9 which is a hand crank machine, I could get in your price range for just the head... American made and I will be going through that neck of the woods in October -Andrew
  24. You may want to check in the shuttle, where the thread runs through, sometimes that tab that creates the tension can open up a bit and just a little bend inwards can correct the issue. I find this will happen every so often, althought juki and Adler shuttles seem to hold up a little better than the Chinese ones in my opinion.
  25. I have in my shop set up and running: Juki 441 Sewpro mini 441 Ase #9 Adler 467 Singer 29-4
