  2. Hey Bob I have 2 of the 500GR SewPro Motors, they will crank over a 441 no problem! I have one on an ase #9 too... which is a waste considering I cant open her up to go full speed! as it is it sounds like a train coming down the tracks! That motor is a beast and a half! -Andrew
  3. Hey Wiz, hows life? I saw this post, and was scrolling through it til I saw that "Inline" presser foot! Does bob sell that combo? because I will be ordering one today if he does! I can think up a few applications i could use that for! -Andrew
  4. Depending who you get it from, Harness and bridle can be worlds apart. Ive been using W&C, Bridle, and show harness. Depending on what kind of harness you're making, I would recomened a differnt leather. for a lot of the show harnesses and some of the work harness I use the Bridle leather doubled and stitched, but for some bitting surcingles, and heavier harness I like the "Show Harness" it has a firmer temper and is, what I would say closer to "English made in England Bridle" in its firm temper, but mouldablity. I think getting imported English bridle has its application, but knowing exactly how you want the leather to react for that part, you can get a domestic hide to do that! Hermann Oak is supposed to have a Great Product as well, I know a lot of guys who swear by that too! But I think the Show harness from W&C might be your ticket! Espcially in black! I dont see their Bridle being what you are looking for if you are looking for a firm hand. -Andrew
  5. I still have this for sale Keith, email me privatly if you would like andrew (at) awharness.com
  6. go online and google shop talk! Proleptic.net Dan should be able to find someone or point you in the right direction, they're mainers now! Might be close to you even! -Andrew
  7. I did get a hold of Tony, he gave me a # of a guy who could make them or did make them for him. I left three messages and no return call! Ive got pieces and parts at the machine shop now getting presser feet made up! Tried Ferdco and the 6/6 uses differnt presser feet
  8. Mike is abosloutly dead on about this machine! I had it for about a year, sewed great and i got it from Wiz who kisses his sewing machines good night! I had bought the harness makers feet as well as the drop down edge guide from weaver($165) -Mike put the servo on it needs nothing! I sewed Saddle pads on it and it worked great, but I just didnt use it all that much (it was a second back up machine)! I traded a Union Lock with Wiz for it, then a ASE #9 with mike for it, if nothing else this machine has been a good story for me! I was just out at weavers sale, this machine would have scared the hell out of $2,500! at what Mikes asking,if youve got an application to use it you're getting a hell of a deal! -Andrew
  9. I use Polyester and I really like it... -Andrew
  10. Im not sure why its made of wood instead of steel, you see a lot of the older ones like this, and this one is in a lot better shape then a lot that I have seen! let me know! I can run samples too if you want to see what it can do, I just NEVER use it and I want a new single line creaser! -Andrew

  14. I have for sale a Randall Creaser, it has double lines and double domed lines 1/2"- 1 1/4" I NEVER use double line and would like to just get a single line creaser! Patent date is 1861 and its HUGE and cast right into the machine. Its good lookng and the bottom set of rollers are wooden, they have a few knicks but still works well, you get a few skips on one of the rollers. THis also has a keyed shaft end that you can ad your roller too! Asking $525 plus shipping! -Andrew more pictures I am having issues resizing these photos!
  15. that is awsome looking! I didnt realize that they have metalic paint! I might have a lead on some contract info on Tony, I will keep ya posted! Im looking for a left toe foot for a #9 -Andrew
  16. Ferdco recomends bonded Poly, here is a quote from there website "There are several reasons we stock the bonded Polester thread rather than Nylon. first is does not stretch like nylon thread does and the second is that since it does not streach it is easier on the working parts of your sewing machine and will give you a more consistant stitch and a better quality of stitch. We have been in this businesss for a long time and have used bonded polyester thread since about 1988. We have also found that you can sometimes use one size smaller needle than you would normally with the polyester than when using nylon thread. We are not saying that nylon will not work in your machine, but for sure they will operate better and give you a better quality of stitch with the bonded Polester".

  20. Ive been trying and trying to get a hold of Tony at Luberto's. Number isn't working and no response to emails. I am looking for any pressor feet that you may have(I can modify to what I need!) or any raise throat plates! I guess anything! Im falling in love with the machine for its stitch quality! still go for my 441 knock off more often, but the #9 lays down a wicked stitch! HELP ME FIND PARTS!/ACCESSORIES! THanks! Andrew @ awharness.com <---------- email address too Thanks!
  21. I use the bridle sides from them, very good sides, even weight, good size, they're typically clean sides and they get them out to you pretty quick! -Andrew
  22. Last I heard the Classic was around 5k for the head and 6k with the stand and speed reducer, I have been trying to get in touch with Tony as I picked up a #9 off of here from Mike in Long Island and I want to get a left toe, and a raised throat plate... anyone have any accessories they want to part with for the #9? -Andrew
  23. The Cub is a new Model, they havent updated their site for probably 3-4 years. Ive tried to get ahold of Luberto's but their phones been disconnected... Hope they're still making sewing machines! -Andrew
  24. Are you talking about the one that has the Krebs style lever on the end? "As Seen in Shop talk!" a few months back? I called Beilers and Weavers and neither one have them! I was curious myself!
  25. I did buy some from them but the color was off,I used some in a pinch but it wasnt as cherry red as I wanted it was more of a muddy maroon. Siegals represented well when I purchased it, but it was a more earth tone then what the trend is... Thanks for the input thought!
