  1. http://images.google.se/images?hl=sv&q...ilder&gbv=2 Dang there's nice stuff out there. My favorite one I have is a golfer skull. Headtop is golfball-ish and crossbone switched for golf clubs. Tom
  2. This is a longshot but check out the web for tattooflash (designs for tattooing) and look upon japanese tattoo designs that has smoke or clouds in them (like ferocious dragon with fire and smoke). Tattoo stuff can many times be applied directly onto leather but for this I'm thinking it might need modification IF it is something worth using. Think of this option as your last option if you get stuck with it. Good luck! Tom
  3. A jig sounds nice and some sort of press would be great to for those late night leather sssions. I got nieghbours to think of. Tried the stamp on a "sharp" work yesterday and starting to look better now. Tom
  4. Yup, Ive even discussed perhaps getting a teewee..eh..um..unsober with Larry. No worries though, I'm an extremely stable person when drinking. I got all sorts of metal, for all tastes and even manage to get people that don't like metal getting into the groove. I'm sure all leatherwork looks better in reality in the overall look, off course twisting and turning the real deal will reveal some minor flaws that don't really show in pics. Oh, just realized how far away I am from all you guys, got carried away a bit. Well, gotta return to my gravedigging;-) Tom
  5. Your welcome by my house anyday Anne!! Bring Dagr and Spider along too . Sob sob Lonely leatherworker Tom
  6. Hey Tazzman! My stamp was NOT made by Jeff. Here's a link to John aka Indypbear who made it, try sending him a PM http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showuser=4830 Think I commented on your stamp somewhere earlier but just in case I didn't gotta say it's a very beautiful design. I'm working on a quickie notebook right now and all that's left is braiding the edges. Left a big space on the front where I have put my mark just to get it onto something for show to friends and here aswell, it's really to big a stamp for small stuff but it's intended for stuff like the tubes. Gonna get a smaller one later with just the star and maybe TOM on it for small stuff. Better collect some money first. Lots of stuff stuffed into this answer, lol Tom
  7. Very slick my friend! Skulls, bullets, shot up planks..lots'a candy on this one. That colour is RICH! Gotta tell you in case I haven't time to post before leaving for Scotland, I have a special skull design in the makings, nothing to fancy but rather a quicke to bring with me in case I miss my shop to much. Hey, nice picture too! Tom
  8. They sure looks nice on leather!! Mistakes is what we learn from and move on. I found letters to be a bit of a hazzle when movin up a size in the leather to be carved since, for me, it requires alot of spinning the leather piece. Thanks for the closeups Bill!! Tom
  9. Lot's of black n wiite stuff and various themes. I like border and frames. http://karenswhimsy.com/public-domain-images/ Tom
  10. Well, if I ever manage to get to Frasier river for my dreamfish Sturgeon I might pop in to hear you play the oboe. I'll bring a couple of beers too! Impressive list! Tom
  11. Looking good, my kind of colours, runes are nice. I taped the back to keep from curling up after tooling. This looks alot like the tubes I've done. Looking forward to see it finished. It'll be slick. Tom
  12. OOPS! Even though I checked the name a typo snuck itself in when writing first post. The company name is Front-line products llc and nothing else. Sorry bout that John! Tom
  13. That's a very good and smart design Art! Did you come up with it yourself? The sandhammer I use is a deadblow hammer so it digs in to hard at first blow wich makes it difficult to level out the impression afterwards. Still with that sandhammer it do bounce if one doesnt press firmly down with it, get that with both Cfartools letters and the delrin stamp but the craftool is more of a struggle because of it's handle that feels too narrow in my hands. Looking at how smooth John's impression with this stamp is makes me realize I gotta practice more. Gotta try it sharp today with the Freak coffin notepad I'm stressworking with to get done tonight. Tom
  14. Congrats Wolfie! You got some busy days a coming but wonderful even though you'll be a bit tired from time to time;-) Tom
  15. Couldn't find the thread for showing off makers stamps but I think it would belong in this section?? So, today I got my makers stamp from Indypbear John AKA indy at Front-line productions. It's made in the new (to me) exciting material Delrin (resembles nylon but alot heavier and harder). I love to try new stuff and the sturdy feel of this one is suiting me well. Small handles for stamps that need force is not for me. It looks supernice, everything is level and straight like it should. I've been using Craftools big letters a bit and can't say that steel (or whatever the're made of) doesn't feel any better. I always have problems with getting it level and therefor getting less impression in bottom right corner. This has to do with my body position when stamping. Think I'm gonna switch to a lighter hammer (use a big sandhammer now) 'cus I get to much digging in in the opposite corner. It's all about control I think. I also got a nice little calendar in the package and I like little treaties very much, also where a sample on leather from the stamp and that one is definetly done by someone with control so big thanks to you John and Front-line Productions! Tom
  16. This will be one very nice notepad. I'd love to see a closeup on one of those really beautiful letter. Those aint one of those ready made letter stamps aint they?? Nice bear totem too. Looking forward to see it completed. Tom
  17. Thank you Madtailor and Kevin! Just got word that it has reached the final owner as his birthday gift and he totally loved it. Phew..He's been dabbling a bit with various crafts and some with leathers but is really is a great painter. Extra nervous wich such guys since they got a good eye for the details. Now I gotta catchup with all the must do's in ordinary life that got put on hold lest two weeks and Friday I head off to Scotland for a week. Lots of whiskydrinking, explicit environment and I'm sure my sketchbook has some new influences for the next one. Big thanks to all who commented on the tubes, you really have made my rod tube makings a journey that will continue into the future! Tom
  18. WOW, that is a fantastic gorgoeous looking gameboard! Lot's of little detail and a very nice layout in design. Beautiful colouring and I really like the little bags you made too. They send the signal that you really thought of the comfort for the intended user I think. Tom
  19. Welcome RVM! You have definetly found a good place for research and study..and a very nice and friendly place. Tom
  20. Oh yeah, snakeskin on a guitarstrap is so fitting! Considering how fast the guitarists in the music I like pull off scales and fretwork one would think their fingers are just little snakes. Now you made me feel like making a strap, cover my axe with carved leather and of course trick out floor stand as well! Looking so good and professional, nice stitching and lining too. A nice fat LesPaul would do the job with breaking it in and is probably the most suited guitar for this classy looking piece of wearable art. Tom
  21. Thanks for showing the pics Clay. It's particular fun for me up here all alone in Sweden to see you guys get together and enjoy some fellow crafters company aswell as getting some serious lessons too. Tom
  22. Oh Roo, I know that feeling all to well. Have to say since I don't know how the final result was thought to be that it looks excellent. I wouldn't change a bit. She reminds me of Medusa from the Greek myth's with her serpent hair. A with a + for history association. Tom
  23. Very nice and clean, all the focus is shifted to that beautiful braid. I like it! Sounds to me like he's ordering a new seat, almost. Tom
  24. Thanks for sharing a great finding Roo! I need an ew camerabackpack..hm... Tom
