It's covered on page 60 of Ron Edwards' Round Knots and Braids - Advanced Leatherwork Volume 2.
  2. I used to play that game but I got sick of getting stuck with garbage so I don't play anymore. No one where I work ever gifts anything as nice as a messenger bag.
  3. DavidL was asking about saddle-stitching in the OP...

  8. Yeah, the WWII holsters definitely used lift-the-dot snaps...not pull-the-dot.
  9. What items are you making??
  10. I was asking the OP but thanks for your reply.
  11. What are you making?
  12. So...6.181" x 2.716". The US dollar is just slightly smaller than that by a few tenths of an inch.
  13. He's going to make .pdf files of them and you'll be able to have them printed from a large format printer... Since all the parts are pretty small though, maybe he'll make the patterns printable from regular 8.5" x 11" paper. You're the man, Mr. Boyce!!!
  14. I use V92 bonded polyester at 10SPI with 004 John James needles on my Field Notes cases. Some will try to say that's too small, but I like the way it looks.
  15. Vergez-Blanchard #7, 002 John James needles, 0.8mm Tiger thread
  16. I generally use John James 002 needles and 0.8mm Tiger thread with my VB #7 set...(same thread and needles Nigel Armitage recommends for 7SPI...works great for me...) Depends what you're making also though...
  17. There are leatherworkers that create works on a single leather panel meant solely for framing. Some that I've seen are really beautiful. They're not "fine artists"?
