    Bruce Johnson has lots of draw guages for like 40 bucks. It's not a plough gauge but probably miles above the strap cutters. I couldn't do anything with my strap cutter either. Then I spent some time on sharpening and polishing the blade. It made a world of difference. Not easy, but those tiny blades can be sharpened. Good luck.

    When doing 66 with my dad and brother I said Texas should annex New Mexico. My brother said why? Because then they wouldn't be named after Mexico, and we would have a west Texas that doesn't suck. Win win. Red Red and Red again.

    Wild guess??? Super diluted air brushing??? Or it could be a really light water based antique?? I have no experience with the water based anything. I'm just guessing because it's interesting.

    I too have the 0 model and it does pretty good. I have found it to be a little big for my taste though. I finally saw a 00 at the store the other day, but I couldn't remember which I had already. I actually love the grip too. I beveled 8 straps in a row the other day and thought it was very comfortable. Still need to grab that 00 though.

    Sorry, just not quite understanding. This mix is giving you color similar to the sample on the bottle? No matter how I dilute it always is darker that the sample on the bottle.

    So, are you using the neatsfoot to dilute the dye or just adding a little to your dilution? I'm gonna try that beeswax trick too.
