I have been working on a few hammer holders for my employees. My brother said he needed his to swivel as his old one which keeps the hammer from popping out when it hits the scaffold. Anywho on the subject at hand. I had no luck finding a place to buy the hardware to make a swivel. I did however find a place that sold hammer holders that swivel for a buck fifty.I believe with a little thinking you could easily figure out how to flatten the metal holder then surround it with leather thus making a swivel beer holder. Albeit since I do not partake in the consumption of mind altering drugs of the solid or liquid varieties I would use mine for holding water. Here is the link to the inexpensive swivel hammer holders. http://www.shopoftools.com/store/CL-141.html Oh yea it would not take much to grind off the rivets then attach it to your work with new rivets. It may be simple to you but to me I have no idea how to make the lining shift when you open the wallet. I looked and looked and sure enough the skulls shift from the center to the end once you open the wallet. I will keep working on it , maybe by morn I will have it worked out. Hmmmmmm:) WINDY -
The like the braiding , it looks real nice.I also like the texture of the leather. WINDY

Drac, I must say that is one of the slickest set ups I have seen. I like the case idea. That would make it nice at the end of a long show, five minutes and you are on the road home. Not to mention they keep the dust off your wares while in storage. WINDY

Josh, I doubt you will find any thinner than these. They are 1/32 inch thick. http://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=D401 WINDY

Perfect timing Josh I just got my order from K and J this week. Great little ceramic magnets although as stated afore they are brittle if you let them slap together hard. I broke about two the first day playing with them. I ordered the sample pack and the six different ones used for clasps on necklaces and bracelets. I got my order in two or three days. http://www.kjmagnetics.com/ WINDY

What did others think of the displays in the pictures? What could you change in order to to sell more stuff? I can tell you that I never pay attention to what the product is setting on. I made a beautiful set of display stands for a potter a couple of years ago. They really set her booth off , which led me to wonder why others set there stuff on concrete blocks holding 2x10 shelves. Well just a year later I was at a wood working show. As I walked around looking at things my girlfriend pointed out the display stands holding the stuff. Much to my chagrin I had not noticed even though they were made of wood and darn nice looking. I discovered that day that I only notice the display table/case if the work is of no interest to me. In other words the only one who sees your table is the one who is not looking at your work. While I am here giving my most humble opinion I would also like to say that I for one disagree with whomever it was who said you can not sell high priced items at a small venue. I can tell you when I see something I like, I do not say "oh no I can not buy that here cause this is a flea market and I just can not spend five hundred bucks at a flea market" . What kind of logic is that. Mercy sakes if someone sees something they like they will buy it if they can afford it. Once again this is my most humble opinion. If you do top quality work , no one will care if you set it on a ugly table or sell it at a flea market. WINDY

I've had it a few years. Only about a 4oz bottle. A bottle of hot sauce does not last me very long. Then again I like hot food. Next time you have a taste for something different take a tater ,put it in the microwave for 3 and 1/2 minutes.Cut into 1/4 slices. Dip them in flour then dip them in a mixture of 50/50 hot sauce and egg whites then dip in flour once more. Then fry in a cast iron skillet (in a 1/4 inch of olive oil or bacon grease if you want great flavor)over medium high heat till golden brown. Salt to taste as soon as you take them out of the pan. Nothing lifts you up better on rainy days than a good laugh . Thanks Jordan. WINDY -
Too bad photography is not one of your hobbies. Next time you want to photograph a small object and you have no Macro setting on your camera , try holding a magnifying glass between the camera and the object you are photographing. Works like a charm if you have a steady hand. If not then find a way to anchor the magnifying glass. WINDY

Well now maybe I should not tell you this. However you brought it up not me. You said you trusted a kid you all ready knew would not take orders. The pool incident. How could you a grown mother trust a nine year old who would not listen to you in the pool, with the key to your house and to clean up after your animals and feed them. As you said you did it to save money. Yet you blame the kid and his parents. It appears to me you are the one to blame. How many times have you heard "you get what you pay for". As a craft person , I bet you have said it your self. Now if you need to vent go ahead and yell at me for voicing my opinion on your subject. I know I can take it or I would not have typed this. WINDY

I have not tried this so it is just speculation on my part. While visiting the local zoo , I noticed they had leaf imprints in the concrete. Now I figure if you can leave a leaf impression in concrete then plaster should be even easier. Now having another hobby called pottery , I have seen enterprising potters make tile molds out of plaster and pressing them under great pressure into clay and never breaking. Most use home made presses out of 2x material. I seen one with an eight foot handle made out of a standard 2x4 stud to apply the pressure to make a 6x6 inch tile with plaster molds. I do beleive they use mold making plaster availible at pottery supply stores. WINDY

Grow and paint my own nails - no manicures for this girl I won't touch dye without gloves. Biggest problem is nail marks in cased leather. Crystal I was wondering about your nails leaving marks on the wet leather when I thought she probably made herself some soft deer skin finger thimbles. I guess for the first time in my life I was wrong .....thanks. WINDY P.S. I think it looks great. -
I reckon if I were going to make a mold for a bra cup I would use the expandable foam for insulating your house. It comes in two different types. One expands three times its volume ,it comes in a red can at your local Lowe's or that crappy orange place. The other type expands less and I am not sure what color can it comes in since I only use the red can. You can shape it once it drys with files, rasps, knives or knifes depending on what part of Kentucky you are from. I can tell you that it does not last long in the can once you spray it unless you clean the orifice really well. I try to find places I need to insulate whenever I am making something out of the foam. Like around windows that are drafty and doors. Just be careful since it has been known to expand enough to push off the door and window trim. If you have no other use for it, it also works for filling in under your boat seats on small Jon boats and the like. Or you can make fake rocks , of course you have cover them with a layer of bondo then paint them. Alas here I am rambling on. WINDY Wow spell check corrected five words, my fingers are not keeping up with my mind.

I have a belt from more years ago than I care to remember that I made with snaps.Yet somehow to this day the snaps still hold the buckle on despite rumors spread by some who swear snaps will not hold. They are line 24 snaps. Maybe the leather worker gods or the belt maker gods just love me for shopping at Tandy way back then. Then again it could just be that snaps work. Now if I were planning on using my belt to pull me out of a deep canyon or the bottom of a well I would probably prefer to have used Chicago Screws to hold the buckle. I would also prefer to have gone on that diet I said I was going to go on ten years ago if I were stuck using my belt to climb out of a bad situation. WINDY

I have to agree with Roger on this one. While I was at the local Tandy a couple of weeks back the manager told me Tandy was buying Weaver. How much Truth there is to that is beyond my control as I am only telling you what he said to me. Tandy is growing even if there stock price is plummeting. WINDY

This brings up a question I've been meaning to ask: Am I weird because I use one modeling tool in each hand simultaneously? Granted, it's only on one piece of leather, but does anyone else do that? I do believe it was President Taft who could write with both hands simultaneously and in two different languages. Thus making you not weird. WINDY
