  1. Thanks for posting these, Jeff! Awesome work on the patterns, and a mighty generous thing to do!
  2. Thank you! I'll do some snooping around!
  3. Very cool! I like the black on black, and the look of the hex screws. Are they attached to t-nuts on the backside? Those screws are exactly what I'm looking for for a holster design I'm tinkering with--do you mind sharing your source?
  4. I encourage that move 100%! Guaranteed to provide at least twice the "fun!"
  5. Mine are oiled, dusted, adjusted. Well-adjusted, I like to think. Kinda like I look at my kid, as a parent. Babied, pampered. Just between us, I talk to 'em. Most of the time, they come through--I think they know that they have to. Otherwise, they'd be offshore reefs, or pricey supports at the edge of the road holding up the mailbox. Conversation pieces. After all these years they never stop surprising me--never in a good way. I'm seriously starting to think they mess with each other's adjustments late at night when I'm not looking. What worked beautifully yesterday doesn't today. Naw. That's crazy. That would imply they have minds of their own, and mobility. I should edit this. Cut that part out. Yep, crazy.
  6. LOL! Love this! Thanks everybody for all the comments ...most of us work in isolation, to some extent, so it's cool to me to see that we all deal with machinery that's "possessed" at various levels! Mine run the gamut from predictably annoying to full-on Stephen King novel, and all points in-between.
  7. Thanks! I never have a radio on--for the same reason. If there's music, it's CD's. CD's...maybe that's showing my age?
  8. HA! Mine aren't that cultured. They're more beer joint, country & rock.
  9. Mine tend to get along with CCR's greatest hits. Max volume, of course.
  10. I haven't posted in a while and I remembered this category on the forum. I wrote a blog post this morning on the general topic of leather sewing machines--more specifically, MY leather sewing machines, and the love & adoration I have for them. Anyway, here's a link to the post--feel free to share the whole thing here if it's appropriate. 11. www.JeremiahWatt.com, or call them--Jeremiah and Colleen are awesome to deal with. I will also second the Weaver comments above. I look at suppliers the same way I look at my power company, or insurance company--the less trouble from them, and the less I hear from them, the happier I am with them. I've heard all I care to hear from Weaver this year. I don't jump through hoops to spend money with vendors.
  12. I stopped ordering leather from them last year. The quality really slipped on their Hermann Oak TR, which is all they offer. Up until last year I was real happy with them. The $1,200 annual minimum was an easy hurdle to clear. In my case, I started having orders short on little items, like buckles and conchos. The leather I was getting was dirty, and the last two gallon cans of Barge were crushed because the packing was half-assed. They've always been great about fixing errors, they just started making more of 'em. Then came this asinine "$1,200 form letter." On the bright side, I discovered Montana Leather (awesome folks), Springfield Leather, and Panhandle Leather over in Texas. I've gotten some great product from HideHouse in California, and I'll give Ohio Travel Bag a try. I'll keep my Weaver account for now, but they no longer get the 90% of my business they used to. Lately, it's been 0%. I get better service, better quality, and better pricing most everywhere else. Weaver's gotten a little too Walmart for my taste.
  13. I got the same letter. It didn't impress me much. I got the impression they've convinced themselves they're the only show in town. That form letter and their "$1,200.00" annual minimum was a stupid move. The $200 membership alternative ain't happening. I said as much on their facebook page.
  14. Nice work! The Glock 19, 23 and 32 are some of my favorites to build for.
  15. No, the black edges are Weaver's Exact Touch edge coat diluted with water, then wax burnished.
  16. It's been a while since I've posted anything. This is one of my 1.5" wide black cherry gunbelts. Black stitching, polished brass hardware from Weaver Leather, star basket from TLF, with a Barry King border stamp. The leather is two layers of Hermann Oak 7/8 oz. This one's got seven adjustment holes spaced 3/4" apart. Questions, critiques, suggestions, etc., are most welcome.
