  1. I decided to go with a more traditional color. Brown, but it looks kinda red in the sunlight. Still have to finish the lace and clean the crud out of the corners and touchup the finish. Tom

  4. I was wondering if I could make a suggestion for a challenge? Strangest project or something wierd you have made. Keeping it clean of course. But if you cant just email me the pics. LOL. Here is a project I have been playing with for quite awhile now. I got the idea from the movie The Da Venci Code. It's a Cryptex thingy. Not sure about the spelling.   6. I have ended up with what looks like water stains. I thought it was me until now. So if I clean it with something that will help? Cause I really like the Fiebings colors. Tom
  7. I just make the loop in the same slot. I put a rivet in between each shell but its not needed. Just did it for looks. Tom
  8. I just finished tooling a peice to practice the finish on. I'm gonna try a dark stain over white or natural skulls. If that dont work I'll something else. I think you guys are right about covering up my work. I'll just make a few practice things to try the finish on. Keep the comments coming. I need it. Tom
  9. I know its kinda crude but I'm working oo it. Just need to practice more. Also need to work on my camera skills. This is left handed model. I'm thinking about doing it all black. Any thoughts on that? Tom
  10. I looked at the photos again and now I can see the leaves are in better focus. The camera does have a little flower on it next to the lens. I'll turn it to that and keep trying. Already delivered the 2 plier holders but the guy wants 2 more so I'll put these in the same place and try it on them. Only he wants spring belt clips on them this time.   11. I'm beganing to think it's me and not the camera. Gonna try and make some kind od photo box. Any ways the guy I gave the last one to just happens to be part owner in a hardware store and he wants more of these things. I just want to make enough to but more leather and tools. Got a real nice punch and a bunch of other stuff with the proceeds of the shopping bag sales. Heres the pics for what they are worth. Tom

  14. You just keep after it Butch. You will get the results you want with time and practice. I just started earlier this year too. I use to do it "ALONG" time ago. Then after about a 40 year break I started up again. I'm loving it. You just keep pounding that cow. Tom

  17. That looks like a Whitney punch. I've used mine to punch holes in some pretty heavy metal. I use to do ceiling grid work. if its a whitney thats a good price. Tom

  22. Here are two more shopping bags. At least thats what I'm calling them. Thier easy and cheap to make. I made them out of heavy upholstery leather. Got a good deal on it. I think I'm gonna make a few more of them. I have some green I'd like to try. Tom
