roughing up the areas would have been my first suggestion. I used Master's Contact Cement and Weldwood in two coats and still strong.

I wish I could pick this up.

I found it best to dye the amount of thread for special projects rather then purchasing small spools of thread. I have 40 small rolls of unwaxed linen thread I keep around.

Go over to the blog site on here and check on one of our members Wyoming Slick. He seems to be an expert in the field of Craft Tools though you have quite an opportunity on this set. Good luck

There is an Al & Ann Stohlman museum in Sheridan Wyoming at King Saddlery that was created by one of your own....Aussie Peter Main. Tandy Leather in Fort worth has also commemorated the work of Al Stohlman and a few other artists in a museum display at their flag ship store.

Robert.....I am north of Austin. I get down to SA about once or twice a year for work. Were you just looking to stop and chat or are you looking for leather related stuff like classes?

Welcome back......Wish you much success!

I received my shipment of Fiebing's dye yesterday and I looked at the box carefully. I wanted to share these instructions with you to see if this would help you solve your problem. You might want to consider applying a cleaner to the leather before you dye?? Now, I use a dauber when applying my massive area coats of dye.

What type of leather are you using? I use nothing but Oil dyes and some non oil Fiebing dyes. The only problem that I have had is with the Tan dye, which I ended up liking because it gives the leather the worn look. With some other colors, I have had to apply several coats when using a brush. I use Hermann Oak and Wickett & Craig leather.
