  6. Nice collection....I see few familiar models and a few that I still need for my collection.
  7. Spend $15 bucks and buy a Barry King blade to fit your Tandy Craftool knife. In the mean time, head over to Leather Wrangler's website and check out Paul's video or tutorial on sharpening a swivel knife blade. There way too many things that could be going wrong to try and diagnose without seeing what you are doing. Unless you are dealing with a flat blade or one with a chip in the cutting surface the coarse is way to aggressive to use out of the gate. My lowest size stone is 600 grit and I go up to 8000. Good luck!
  8. Welcome to the forum Willem. Thanks for sharing photos of your beautiful country!
  9. I made my own though not like you described it. I still have a handle left to attach. I made it out of a steel bolt that I heated up and squared it with a hammer. I then grinded a groove and polished it up. It would have been harder if not for the help of my friend Clay Miller. I cannot seem to find the photographs that I took of it. Sorry.
  10. Nice job......very cool items you go made there!

  17. It is the Devibliss tool company. They also made a swivel knife and blade. Now sure about other tools besides these chisels.
  18. Yes!! I would stamp them (after cleaning) on a piece of scrap leather before you use it on your final project leather.
  19. I will normally waiting until I cut the leather to final size before I place my groove in....at about 3/16" from the edge. I use a guided groover that just follows the edge while cutting the groove.
  20. Your best bet would be Clay Miller Tools. He makes some great tools and will also make figure carving tools. he is reasonably priced and quality is right up there! He can be found on here or his facebook page. Good luck

    Carlos border

Bluesman & Sherlockian 100 - You will find that every leathercrafter does things just a bit different and if you are new it will make you go hmmmmm. You will also find out that some things can be done 9 different ways. For me, I bevel before you using my border tool because I find it easy to register my tool before striking it. Also, I lay out my space marks with an adjustable compass and register one of the tips of the tool to that mark before striking it. Can it be done after cutting...........well sure! Have I tried it when I first learned from Wayne's tutorial...........sure did! I learned by practice that I didn't feel comfortable, so I beveled the line and did it again. I felt better........so I do it that way every time. I hope this helps!
  22. I'll take it if still available. Send me a message--kingsaustin(at)gmail(dot)com--where to send payment via Paypal. You can keep the holster to protect your Henley. Thanks.
  23. Nice video.....great explanation! You are right, Joyce is great at Black River Laser. I did a product review on my blog a while back and she received it very well. I wish her much success!
