  1. Don't take my post as a recommendation. Just trying to help by pointing in a more appropriate direction. I don't use any of the Fenice type edge paints so can't give an opinion on any of them.
  2. Look at https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=O5HjtCGSLfg He makes a similar corner, just not on a seam. You should be able to see what you need to do.
  3. Probably more like http://www.leatheredgepaint.com/leather-edge-paint/
  4. Checking them out should keep you busy for a couple of days then. Hope you find one.

  6. How about http://www.internationalleatherdirectory.com/products.php?product=VE for starters. Chose this because I presume you're in Europe.
  7. Sorry, wouldn't have wasted your time with that link if I had known. You might want to call http://leather4craft.co.uk/product-category/horween-2/horween/ but they only do 2mm. Or try calling https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/LeodisLeather?ref=l2-shop-info-avatar Leodis Leather as he uses it so must have a source plus he's a member here. Just have a Google and you me luckier than me.

  10. I may well be wrong but it might be McClellan mule saddle or a McClellan artillery saddle with a horn added. There is website for the society of the military horse that seems to have a lot of info. Gary

  14. Do a search on here and elsewhere for 'fileteuse' and you should get information you need. Also do searches on edge finishing, burnishing and similar for a good overview and a lot of detail on buying or making one as well as all the consumables that go with them. The search box is in the top right corner. When you open one of the posts which it shows you will find a list of related posts at the bottom of the page and so on, so you should find what you're looking for.
  15. Depends a lot on the size and shape. Some can be done with just a knife, it's partly what round or head knives are for. If it's intricate, a mix of hole and strap end punches may work plus a knife of some type. A clicker die may be useful for some shapes but, depending on size, you may get away with a mallet or you may need a press. I'm sure plenty of others will have more ideas and practical tips as there must be a ton of ways to skin this cat.
  16. What sort of amount do you class as bulk? What type of leather? Roughly, what design (backpack, over shoulder, hand)? Gary
