  1. There's 7/32 & .2188 or 15/64 @ .2344.
  2. Here's some pics of the carrier from a Singer & Claese. the Durkopp has a .030 larger center hole & the teeth are further apart on the Durkopp too.
  3. This issue has been resolved. He brought it back to us & since he had a Ferdco 440 for some unknown reason he thought the top tension should be as tight as the Ferdco .So we adjusted the top tension (loosened it a lot) for him & he sewed on a lot of leather & was so happy he bought a CB3200 for his holsters.
  4. We have a trigger pull guage, works great for setting the bobbin tension on certain machines.
  5. I found a manual. Singer 29K51,53,56 parts.pdf
  6. We have put the 550 watt Family-Sew motors on these 132K6 with a 45mm pulley & they work great.
  7. Looping underneath is always upper thread either too loose or incorrectly threaded, with a home machine you could be using a thread to large for it can also cause looping. So double check the threading & then keep tighten the top needle tension as far as you need to get it to stop looping.
  8. If your still having a problem, give us a call & if we don't answer leave a message & we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
  9. Either it's not threaded correctly or the top tension is too loose. So double check the threading first, when you know for sure it's right then tighten the top thread 1/2 a turn at a time until it stops.
  10. IF it's threaded correctly, the tension is tight enough ,make sure you pull the handle all the way forward & back & you always hold the thread for the first 3 stitches it shouldn't be jamming up.Miss anyone of the above & any Industrial might jam.
  11. You make it look so easy. Thanks for making the Great video!
  12. Epoxy would wear quickly,we always filed them & yes if this is deep enough it is one of the many reasons it could be skipping.
  13. I don't know if they did anything to it.BUT checkout what they did to a Seiko. Not only does it have 13/16" lift it also has square feed.
  14. I recently sold a machine to a customer who wanted a fine looking stitch in English bridles & used a #14 with size #69,it looked great! A size 20 will make too big of a hole & won't look nice.If it isn't real thick leather use size16
  15. Good deal, can't go wrong @ that price!
  16. The 43-5 is a cylinder arm version of the 42-5 they have different shuttles.
  17. Try some #138 in your CB4500 it should w/o much adjustment & be the right size for what your sewing.
  18. The factories are shut down until Feb 28 & then the air planes aren't flying there anymore either.
  19. Curve needle shoe machine BUT I don't know the brand or model#
  20. I've been told that the Polyester thread is made from many short strands,so if you use it where it rubs against something like the inside of a belt it pulls some of the strands off the thread giving a fuzzy look after a while.Nylon doesn't do this since the strands are alot longer & stiffer.
  21. There's 2-screws one in the front & one in the back @ the same place.
  22. No,at this time the tariffs are still in effect & it is 25% now, they started out @15% & added on another 10% later.
  23. Great info & pics ,should helpout a lot of people in the future.
  24. This is one of the many ways it can skip. But it's better to look for things like this before you start turning wrenches. Lower the needlebar all the way down & make sure the spring is pressing against the thread like it should, once in a while a piece of thread can get caught in there & hold it open, sometimes they just get bent & need to be replaced. Also do you have enough pressure so the leather is being held down?
  25. You should be able to sew up to around 20 oz for leather BUT this machine does NOT have needle feed,it has feed dogs with teeth that will mark the bottom of the leather & it also has teeth on the bottom of the feet. But they can be ground off so you won't get feet marks on top.
