  1. These Chromebooks are terrible, luckily I have a better puter @ work. Go here & scroll down for Singer.http://www.supsew.com/catalogs-reference-materials/
  2. file:///home/chronos/u-fb0e68cf593b2bc6570aebf31e13a1dcc163c845/Downloads/Singer%20138W101.pdf I guess you'll have to cut & paste.
  3. You might want to try searching Singer 231 for more info.
  4. This applies to all sewing machines. You need to stop with the take up lever all the way up.This is the part that moves up & down while your sewing & you thread through it.You might need to adjust where your syncronizer stops the machine to get it @ the top. HTH
  5. Yes,we get calls from people every once in a while about the lever moving on them & have to explain it.Glad to hear it helped you.
  6. Clickers have a short travel on the ram so you can set the depth it cuts.If you go too deep you'll cut up your board. So if you use a hydraulic press you'll need an adjustable stop maybe 4 (one on each corner) but they can be made to work.
  7. Yes,Greg ,Thanks now that you mentioned it I have seen the model 360 on these before.
  8. This one looks like a bottom & top feet type of walking foot & the feed dogs will making the bottomside, the 226R has a walking foot needlefeed that will leave a lot less marking on the bottom of the leather.
  9. Here's the difference I get from high to low.
  10. You can turn it down to the lowest setting, loosen the 2-screws on the collar, turn the pointer to mittel (making sure the shaft doesn't turn), tighten screws & turn down more.
  11. It's a model 226R,setting the way it is you can't sew on it so it might need some adjustment or parts. You will need a table, motor, thread stand, bobbin winder & light,& a drip pan.It will add up w/shpg alittle under $300.00,unless you can search around & find a used one.
  12. This is a very easy adjustment. You need a 10mm wrench & a 2.5 mm allen wrench, take the 10mm & loosen the nut in the pic, take the 2.5 m & put inside the nut on the allen bolt & turn it alittle clockwise & check the tightness of the stitch length handle & when you get it where it doesn't move up& down by itself tighten the 10mm.
  13. If your machine was a double needle you would have 2-posts(with the tension discs),one on the right & one on the left,on single needles it's on the left & yours is on the right. It really doesn't matter as long as it's working, which it will but I was just letting you know.
  14. Yes,it original both the single & double needles use the same back plate but the tension post on a single needle is usually on the leftside.
  15. You mainly need to lube the thread For 3 reasons I can think of is when your sewing real fast,it helps cool the needle so you don't burn the thread,#2 if your sewing dry & or old leather & #3 is when the leather is real thick or if your thickness close to the max for your machine it prevents skipped stitches.
  16. Yes,Joe is still servicing machines,I meant blow air in the needle screw hole. The soldering gun might help too.
  17. Blow some air in the top hole sometimes gets them out.
  18. I just sold a CB4500 yesterday to a customer that bought a 3200 a year or so ago & he got into heavier sewing than what the CB3200 could handle & he wants to sell it,He's in VA by DC.If your interested give me a call or message me for his ph#,I don't want to post it here.
  19. Ok,I just got back from Weavers & bought 32 machines! But I'll be in tomorrow.
  20. Nice looking machine you have there, you have something to be proud of.
