$275.00 plus shipping. I can get you a photo. You have books on the machine? I have the parts list, operations manual and the military service book on the machine. I had one years ago in the early 1980's before the 441 and 205 came out. Does yours have the stand or just the head? Mine had everything glenn

Bottom line-the drive gear, following gear, long drive rack , short rack, shuttle carrier are probably all worn not counting the wear on the inside of the horn. All contribute to the the missing of stitches. Keep in mind, these machines are over 100 years old and counting. If parts can be found, they need to be replaced. Finding them is not easy. I have a few parts and a few companies in Italy and Spain are making or have replacement parts. The original parts should be removed and examined for wear. Any model before the 29K58 will have certain parts that are hard to find. 29K58 and on, there are generic parts made for the machines because of the clones made today in China. OK the companies that has parts for 29K1-4 Italy www.brunoanichi.it Spain www.Sitomaco.es I have been on there sites in Italian and Spanish. No English on the site that I can see. Hope this helps

Pfaff 345 - problem with needle-to-hook adjustment
shoepatcher replied to Duane's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Ok. Strima in Poland has a genuine for $272.03, AliExpress has a generic for $43.68. I suggest you call DAP in Atlanta which is Durkopp/Adler/Pfaff and see what a genuine hook cost and if they have it. That gives you a starting point as to price. Shipping not included in these prices glenn -
Pfaff 345 - problem with needle-to-hook adjustment
shoepatcher replied to Duane's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Do you have a parts list for the 345? I have one. A genuine hook will not be cheap. Part number is #91-014-192-31. A genuine hook if you an get it would cost over $300.00 Hirose and Cerliani both make aftermarket hooks. Very good quality. Used them for years. I will see what I can find and get back to. Can we get a few pics of the machine. glenn -

Adler 068-4272 high post bed walking foot double needle
shoepatcher replied to Pierick's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Your machine is a extra long high post version of a 68-72. Feet, hooks and a lot more from the 68-72 will fit your machine. Judging from the color of the machine, it was made in the 1980's. However, could be earlier as it might have been repainted. glenn -
pics will help I believe the Consew 733 and Seiko machines use the same feet. Call C.H. Holderby in Seattle. They deal in lots of industrial machines. glenn

No the bobbin case opener is near the hook and it regulates the opening and closing of the thread as it flows around the hook. Get me a pic of your hook area. glenn

WE used 2 of these machines in production. #138 top and bottom. Use #23 needles. The smallest needle you can use with #138 is #22/140. I prefer #23/160 needles . Less defection and the thread flows better thru the eyelet. We also used Organ or G-B titanium needles and they work better than the chrome plated Schmetz needles. In tensions discs on your machine, the most bottom one is the primary, the next up is the secondary and the top on is the auxiliary one. I used the bottom one the most to tight or loosen the the top thread tension. Also check the bobbin base opener to make sure it is not hold up the bobbin thread. glenn

question on older Adler cylinder arm machine
shoepatcher replied to UncleSam's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
the Adler 169-373 0r -73 is a large bobbin medium duty walking foot cylinder arm. In the class of a 341 and Juki 1341 machine. Good machines. Your machine looks like it has only needle positioner on. I doubt is has air lift , back tack and trimmers. If that is the case, you are further ahead to replace the Efka motor with a new servo motor and needle positioner. I need to see more pics of the back of the machine. Great machines! I would buy but I work on machines. Call Durkopp/Adler America in Georgia and give them the part number mention in this post to see what a timing belt will cost. glenn -
Will sew 12oz. leather one thickness. Has old style clutch motor, old style light. Needs a little work and a few parts. Maximum thread this machine will sew with is #138 period. Not #207. looks decent. how much is he asking for it. glenn

45K25 help needed to make it work again
shoepatcher replied to Damas's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
The #158 is 3/16 xx 28TPI screw like the #128, #145, #141. These screws are available in generic now. Originals very hard to find. I have both the parts book and the operations manual for the machine. They were part of the pack I got from a late Leatherworker contributor who passed away in early 2021. He wanted me to have this info. He restored a 45K25, 45K58, 45K69. Did a great job on the machines. His wife contacted me after he died and I got all the literature and a Claes RPX shoepatcher for money. Can you determine the part # that the screw fits in. That way I can identify the screw you need. the 45K21 had the foot on it. 45K25 was the same basic machine except that it had the roller feed on it. glenn -

JJN, You get your patent elastic up and running? glenn -
If it works, that's all that counts. I have never seen a plain drawer on any Singer shoepatcher that was original. They all had a front that was milled with a knob in it. glenn.
