  1. Pneumatic motors used mostly by the Amish. I would remove and replace with servo and speed reducer unless you are Amish. If not, I would then sell the pneumatic motor to he Amish. They cost more than servos. Not so noisy as the compressor is usually outside in Amish establishments. Great machine. I have one with all the toys on it. It needs a good cleaning and going over. Take your time and do it thoroughly. Bob at Toledo or Allen Burkholder at Weaver can answer any questions you may have. glenn
  2. A 7 class might work. I would contact Cerliani and Hirose and see if they make hooks for the 120 class still. That machine is still being made to order in Germany last i Knew by another company for Adler. I think it is the same one producing the 30 class shoe patchers for Adler. glenn
  3. Keep us posted please!! great job Matt!
  4. The Chandler 305-64 is a clone copy of an Adler 105-64. Chandler had these made in Japan after they lost the Adler distributing rights for AMERICA . Should thread the same as ther Adler glenn
  5. JIMI 7 PATCHERS and a mountain of boots!!!
  6. great Job 29K15engine! I have been playing with these gears and rack over the last couple of years. SItamaco in Spain has the 29K1parts made in China I believe. They are new. The drive gears, short rack, following gears, shuttle carrier and set screws are all needed today for 29-4, 29K1-33, 29K51-56machines. Other than Sitomaco, no one is making them. thee is a big need for these parts. Singer made over 250,000 29-4 machines! Gear #8608 was used in 29K1-4,10-18,21-23, 32, 33. right of of original singer parts book. I know no one is making gears for the 51-56. glenn Very nice result!!!!! glenn

  8. Question #1 the wing nut on the big tension spring will adjust the height of the walk. Looking at the back of the machine, move the clamp and wing nut to the left to increase the height of the walk. Question #2 will have to remove the end of the head to change the tension discs. Question #4 Depends on size of the needle as to which needle hole in throat plate to use. Question #5 You can get generics hooks on line. not real expensive. I have just come into a large cache of original Singer Simanco small bobbin hooks. These do not really really exist today in just about any other place. Price for the genuine hook is $50.00 plus shipping. You can message me if you are interested. glenn
  9. can we see pics of it please. glenn
  10. two things. Looks like you are going around the pin that holds the tension discs in place. DO NOT go around the that pin. That alone will effect tension. Also, the smallest needle you can use with #138 thread is a 22/140. Do not use #21 with #138 thread on top. glenn
  11. Some parts from a 205-270 will fit this machine. glenn
  12. The picture in the catalogue of the 1541 is wrong. They both look like the 1508. glenn
  13. what size thread are you using in American standards. I do not have a European chart for thread. If you are using #138 and below weight of thread, the 1541S should work fine. The DNU-1541/X55245 is for #207 and heavier. glenn
  14. Just buy one of the flip down guides that is on ebay. It will work. You might have to drill and tap a hole or two. Not a big deal. I prefer the ones made by Kwok Hing. glenn
  15. If it has toys on it, changing to a plain new servo motor will mean losing all the toys accept maybe needle positioner. want to keep the toys, get a phase converter and you may need a transformer as well. glenn
  16. No feet are not interchangeable! 69 uses same feet as 67,167,267, 169,269, 68, 168,268. 669 uses same feet as 767, 867,868,869. sorry. glenn
  17. early needles did not have a scarf. You had a long groove and a short grove where the scarf now is. glenn
  18. i would buy all the 7-25parts listed if it was me. glenn
  19. The air foot lift is on treadle pedal value I ordered from Universal Supply in St.Louis. It makes the treadle into an air powered foot lift by healing back. The regular foot lift you do not need with this set up. send an email that i can send video to glenn
  20. contact Diamond Needle in NJ, the Organ distributor in the US about needles for the 52W22. your needle system is indeed 128x3 rd point, 128x4 leather point. glenn
  21. Good news. Weaver Leather now has the 969 Pure out!! This is a stripped down 969 with large balance wheel, no air lift rather foot lift. It is just like the 205 plane jane was but now it is the big brother. I believe the price complete is $5895.00 if you set up an account with them. So now the 969 Pure, the Eco and the Gold edition with all the toys. 3 price points to choose from depending on money and needs. 16.5" throat, self winding bobbin winder on front of machine, larger bobbin, one step oiling. Higher lift, bigger stitch length than 205. check it out. glenn
  22. ok You need a stud to fit into the end of the 669 balance wheel. Weaver Leather makes this stud if you need to mount a synchronizer on the machine. No part number for the stud. If you want an air lift, the part number for the cylinder and attachment screw is #0667 135204. The manual foot lift kit is Adler part # 0367 595124. These parts come from Adler. I put an air cylinder kit on the treadle pedal which allowed me to have air lift on the treadle if my compressor is on. If not, I use the manual knee lift. I have both on my machine. Nice. Get me an email and I will make a video to send you. glenn
  23. Use a small left hand drill smaller than screw to drill a small hole in the screw. I would look for a titanium coated drill in left hand twist. The drill working in reverse may back out the screw. Be careful not to bogger up the threads in the feed bar. glenn
  24. Looks like a copy of a Singer 111w156. If so, the singer manual should work. glenn
